BAM Plaintiff Josh Johnson DROPS BOMBSHELLS on Reckless Ben Case
BAM plaintiff Josh Johnson is now at the center of a major new development in the Bricks & Minifigs / Reckless Ben story.
Johnson is one of the plaintiffs suing Reckless Ben and personally verified BAM’s complaint. But in a newly published recorded phone call, Josh made a series of surprising statements about Reckless Ben, Bryan Mansell’s LEGO collection, the Salem store takeover, Ammon and Matt McNeff, and the financial struggles of BAM franchise locations.
During the call, Josh says he actually likes Reckless Ben, calls some of Ben’s videos “awesome,” says he owes Ben an apology, and says Ben can “go after Bricks and Minifigs all he wants.”
He also says “we got Salem for free,” says Ammon did not want to give Bryan Mansell his LEGO back, later references Matt and Ammon, and describes losing substantial money investing in struggling BAM stores.
And perhaps the biggest franchise-related statement of the entire call: Josh says he believes “90%” of BAM stores are underfunded—his personal estimate, not an audited company statistic. BAM’s September disclosure reportedly lists Johnson among its franchise sellers.
In this video, Coach breaks down the full call, compares Josh’s statements with the lawsuit he verified, and looks at the major questions this creates as the Reckless Ben case continues.
A recorded phone call is not sworn testimony, and none of these statements by themselves determine the outcome of the litigation.
But after everything Josh Johnson said, one question now stands out:
What does BAM say next?
