Slipknot are back in the studio recording their eighth album, and Sid Wilson isn't on it.

Jim Root posted about the sessions on Instagram on September 1, tagged tracking and new record, just over two weeks after the band's deleted August 14 statement cut ties with Sid Wilson. It's the first Slipknot album since The End, So Far, the first with drummer Eloy Casagrande, produced by Faith No More's Matt Wallace, and the first without a Roadrunner deal.
