Ray is such an awesome dude. I grew up near his family and his mom was my Principal. He would come do shows for us at the school. He is still in contact with my brother who he went to high school with. It's so awesome watching him drum for one of my favorite bands.

As a metal drummer that started with Slipknot and Korn at the age of 13, I've learned so much about drumming and even realized now that I emulate the EXACT dynamics Ray uses during the Freak on a Leash breakdown. The unpredictable accents, cymbal work, tom work, hihat work, the groove, and the explosive power and subtleties all at the same time. I remember vividly playing Politics on my cheap electronic drum set that took up half my tiny room but was too important to get rid of. Such an inspiration. 15 years later, I continue to get hooked listening to Korn.
