When I'm getting down I absolutely love hearing my tires Roar. I don't know why anybody I want to have a problem with it. Some people stupid!

I’ve been ADV riding since before it was a thing. My first trip from the lower 48 to Alaska was in ‘96. AK tire selection is way different from BDR routes. I guess I’m a half trailer queen. My long paved and gravel road rides are on less aggressive,higher mileage tires. But I trailer anything over a thousand miles away to the BDR states where I’ve got the highly aggressive knobbies on my bike of choice.

I run the motors GPX. My bike handles well. I've got it set on the Ford tread for 50/50. I haven't had any trouble in the mud. If you flip it I think it's like a 70/30, give or take. I run mine as a 50/50 because I ride on the road way more than a ride off. I didn't get much summer riding at all forget about my bike back in September and by the time I got it set up the way I wanted it, warm weather was gone. They've shut down a lot of trails in North Carolina, but I'm prone to cut through a pasture and get shot at. If I see a fishing hole that I can get to I'm going for it too. I keep a fishing rod in my luggage. Adding competition, and camping are just a few things I live for. I killed the urge for the booty, or I got a real real strong self-control, so I do anything I want these days. I don't Camp nearly as much as I used to my best friend passed away in his brothers sold on the 400 acres of land that he had. That's all I needed! We tore that place up with a Polaris Ranger and any kind of 4 wheel drive we could get down in there. I drove my buddies Harley down in there one time. I thought he was going to kill me. You let it go to a monetary lamps of reasoning. I get one of those when I'm excited.😅

I got motoz for my old 800gs a few months ago and like them just fine, even though most of my riding is still on pavement. Even if only 20 percent of my miles are dirt, I still would rather have an 80 percent dirt biased tire.

If you want to carve up the twisties, get a sport bike.
I have directly compared TKC80's to Motoz Desert H/T's. The Desert H/T's are better in the dirt, last longer, and are fine on the highway.
A Rallz rear tire requires a commitment because you are going to have it for a long time. I burn three Rallz fronts for every Rallz rear, and the front is still as durable as anything short of a Heidenau K60 Scout.

Mitas E07, which over here in Europe cost about 110 euros a piece are great for that price as well. They are 50/50 tyre. I dont know if USA folk can buy them, but I can only recommend them. They can take all kinds of terrain if you want daily asphalt riding and some not too crazy offroad.

Thanks for the entertainment! Great review, really helped me narrow down my options. Once the Pirelli Scorpion Rally’s are toast on my new Tuareg Rally I’Il probably run the Tractionator Adventure rear and RallZ front. Next year this time planning to ride BDR’s and backroads from Canada to Texas.

I actually went on a off road trip with a guy that brought a 1987 Honda Goldwing and made it no problem even when it started raining and got muddy

I do believe i'm with you on this one. I have the bow ties tractionator GPS on the front and back. It's okay, but for a short-legged short stature individual like myself that's already riding a beast of a machine, I prefer my ass and not to get too loose, if you know what I mean. I'd rather detecting and me have to put my stubby leg down and try to hold up a freaking back that weighs over 500 lb. It's pretty good on the back roads and stuff and I can climb a hill with them, but they're not slinging mud like the regular tractionator. I believe that would be my next back tire and maybe front, too. I've got about 300 miles on my tractionator gps. How to get some wire on it before I put another tire on it, but it'll probably be what you're running there. I couldn't even hardly ride my bike on a Logging Road before I put the tractionator on it. The tires that came Factory we're not off-road compliant. They did not comply at all. This is my first year on an adventure bike. I was a early 1990s model Honda XL 250 Rider. They say they got better stuff out there today, but that little bike did its job. It was great off-road, but didn't have much Highway Usage. I live closer to the city now and I have to have something that will get me where I'm going. It ain't my ideal dream, but I'm still free. All my life, I've worried more about getting locked up than anything. I'm 55, and I'm still way too pretty to go to prison.

I'm running the Motoz Tractionator GPS rear and Bridgestone AX41 front on my Transalp. Surprisingly good on road and off. Deep mud forget it and sand not great if there's a lot of sand. Patches on sand is ok. The remainder of dirt with a small mix of sand and mud work just fine.

After running two sets of the trailmax missions I'd say they are great for the first 4k miles but as you pointed out they are still not where they should be off road. the raids are great but spendy and dont last so Im now looking at the tusk2 and the motoz for better off roading. great review...tkz\;]

Rallz lasted me 5 weeks, Mitas Enduro XT lasted me 7 weeks, Motoz Adv lasted 4 months+ (best up to now) and my Mitas Enduro XT Dakar variant gets delivered in an hour. The Motoz Adventure is a solid one, I'll see how the Dakar Mitas lines up against it.

I'm 76 and ride lots of dual sport. Never seen a cop look at the DOT stuff. So I've used MX tires... I like IRC M5B. It's a soft terrain tire so the rubber is hard. It will spin on hard pack but otherwise it's great. I might have gotten 3000 mi on one maybe..... I use a knobby on the front, but I'll let you decide what to use.... I used a King knobby on free 1976 Honda 360T (!) I did ride it off road a little and got about 3000mil. It was also the cheapest tire I could find, I didn't want to spend money on a bike I knew nothing about. So, if you're a lawless rider like me, go IRC!
