Isn't it nonsensical??? India has one of the best flora and fauna, it has the best agricultural produce but richer sections of Indian society feel embarassed to acknowledge India and it's resources. This is pathetic.

As someone who has lived in the Middle East and Europe, most of these products aren't really that expensive over there. This amount of shopping would have cost you about 5000-6000 rupees The prices in India just get extremely overblown because they are imported. For example, Almarai cheese is a staple almost everywhere in the Middle East.

I will never get the obsession the rich have with imported goods when these same products can be found with greater quality AND variety from local vendors...

American here, these prices are ridiculous in India. One large bottle of Saratoga spring water, still or carbonated is $2.50 without frequent sales and it’s 1500 IR in Indian which equates to $17.05 😱. This tells you how ridiculous price dispensaries are where the demand is higher than supply. Crazy world 😂
