Shenron being “Goku’s Dragon” makes perfect sense when you think of how Goku channels the Golden Shenron several times throughout the entire adventure with his Dragon Fist

I like to think Goku became the god that Beerus saw in his dream but in going to find him before it was time, Beerus created the Super timeline. Shenron even says the Saiyan God does not exist "at this time." That would be a crazy way to make both timelines canon lol.

bro really said "maybe the real goku was the friends we made along the way"

Nearing the end in Journey to The West, the priest crosses a bridge to Vulture Peak and they spot his "false corpse" floating down the river.  His disciples congratulated him as he had cast off his mortal body and achieved enlightenment.   Yeh Goku is based on the Monkey King, but his clothes lying there at the end hinting his mortal form had perished, reminded me of this.

i Swear gt has the saddest ending

GT's final arc was absolutely well done.  What BETTER problem than that they produced themselves? Over use of the Dragon Balls becomes Earth's undoing.

Peaple be hating on gt but the ending is the best dragon ball ending

In my mind

Dragon Ball is Goku's Childhood
Dragon Ball Z is Goku's adulthood
Dragon Ball GT is Goku finds Enlightenment

Goku being inspired in Sun Wukong, I had assumed after reading journey to the west that GT Goku, just like the monkey king, had achieved a state similar to Bhudahood, going beyond anything else and still aiming higher and guiding others further

I honestly don’t see another way you can end Goku’s story (or dragon ball in general) other than how GT did. The ending was poetically done which imo makes it one of the best endings of all time. Goku transcending beyond life & death is fitting for his character.  That ending was nothing short of perfection.

It's theorized in the final episode Goku keeps on training to become a guardian while at the realm of the gods

I feel like Goku was bored of life and ready for the afterlife after he had his rematch with Kid Buu and became a master. He was content on letting the next generation take up his mantle to protect earth. That's why he charged head first into danger and wasn't worried about dying. He was care free through mostly of GT. That's why I like GT Goku.

As the Guardian of the Dragon Balls, Goku was brought by Shenron to the Realm of the Eternal Dragons, met and trained with Dragon God Zalama.

Yea, they were way too reliant on Goku and the dragon balls to save them, he had to go 🥲

To me it seemed, Shenron wasnt bringing him with him, more like he was helping go somewhere.... more like a taxi service. And the dragon balls made it seem more mystical when being inserted into his body.

The reason why the Earth wasn't restored was because Goku only wished for the people to be restored. He did that so they can learn to rebuild on their own.

GT Is a beautiful (if extremely flawed) series. Its really sad how some haters trash it so much, and even worse, most not even having watched it.

I bet even in GT after ascending he goes and befriends Zeno XD

i found it really ironic that Trunks was the on who told Pan that they don't need to rely on Dragon Balls
considering the First Trunks we saw was from a timeline that had dark days, and no Dragon Balls to rely on
