Okay but you’re worried about people looting a building that’s on fire? Bro, the stock is all gonna burn down anyway isn’t it?

If its intentionally caused by someone it should be called an atrocity, not a disaster

What the HELL was that security guard thinking?! “Oh my God! A fire! Quick, better LOCK THE DOORS to PREVENT SHOPLIFTING!”

I am Paraguayan, and I was in fourth grade when this happened. I remember being in school and hearing the death toll rise every couple of hours. It was pretty surreal.

Once again. Rich people’s money is more important than human life.

This is why the wealthy need to face real consequences for their moral bankruptcy, when they don't, this happens.

The thick smoke that Simon speaks about is a component of every major structural fire. When contained inside a building, this kind of smoke is hot enough to ignite just about anything. Trapping people in a room full of that smoke is unthinkable.

That poor father.. dear god. I would’ve just walked into the blaze. I have two children, if I lost both at once I wouldn’t have been able to walk out. My heart broke when I heard that.

Can we talk about the fact that DURING AN EMERGENCY, it was even possible to lock all doors in the first place. Why TF was that even possible?

@thekameru6058 7 months ago

They burned over 400 people for NO REASON. They didnt want people fleeing a fire because of stock? Stock that would be either burned to cinders OR be too smoke damaged to even use within seconds of exposure?!

This entire situation was both showing humanity at its best and its worst. Although, major credit to the onlookers that rushed to help the firefighters rescue as many people as they could, despite having neither the training or the equipment for the job.

Corruption has killed more people in history than anything else

Locking the doors of a building on fire is flat-out MURDER.
I am so sorry that anyone had to go through that terror. To get to a door, to think you're getting your child to safety only to find the once unlocked front door LOCKED. The sheer terror of that realization. I just cannot imagine it.
RIP to the victims. May the survivors, the friends, and family who suffered any sort of injury or loss, my heart goes out to you.

The people who ordered the doors locked should be sentenced to death 🤬

As should the security guard who forced the gate closed AND fired his gun at the crowd. WTF?!?

It reminds me of all the nightclub fires that keep happening because people still haven't seemed to learn that pyrotechnics being used indoors is a recipe for disaster.
