Never seen your videos before - so, unbiased take. Others film like this, so not quite sure why they're getting away with it. Also, hardly dangerous, as you were well clear. And you didn't come across as arrogant,  just factual - you know what time you're capable of running. Lot of ignorant, unnecessary jealous comments from toxic individuals. Good luck going forward.

The instagram hate and abuse comments are absolutely hilarious.

The only reason I watch your vids is for the humour and attitude, I remember when Sam Long wasn’t boring. Don’t grow up.

Smooth turn over and you made me feel so cold watching that I had to put a blanket on!   P.S….parkrun is always a race….just watch the middle order sprint like rabid dogs in the last 50m to bury the person(s) in front of them 😝

Cool running shots, thx Tom!, the DQ was worth it.

Great post run synopsis, it’s just parkrun, no worries 🤣.

I ran at a weekly free 5k event that runs from Hilsea Lido in Portsmouth (9.30am Sunday mornings) on the comeback from injury and amazingly came in 1st in a shockingly slow time. What made it for me was that I followed the weekly lead bike round the course during the duration of the run. Ordinarily at any other race I participate in I would lose sight of the bike virtually immediately so it made the day special and gave me a sense of the joy that the elites feel in crossing the finish first. O.k its a step down from ParkRun and the course is slightly short and perhaps the lead bike guy may take umbrage at being asked if he would care to step down one Sunday so you can be filmed by your pal, however it is one of a kind as far as I know unlike the hundreds of ParkRuns dotted around the land and doesn't take itself too seriously.
Enjoyed the video, if a bike at the front of the 'race' is banned perhaps pushchairs should be forced to
buggy off too .

I really enjoyed this video.. looking forward to some more❤😊

I have no idea why you're getting so much hate but this is brilliant entertainment, subbed!

Nick Bester uses a bike and guy on skates to film most weeks at Battlesea Parkrun without these issues. Great run, well done.

I completely get your sense of humour - Glad to see you enjoying your running and joking around - people need to stop taking life so seriously, no one's getting out alive anyway! 😂

Run it like you own it!

T birls on camera duty has made my 2026

Never mind, you got to take part and enjoy a free community run.

Excellent video
I am a fifty year old man. Park Run is a broad church….it takes all sorts and we should welcome ambition and achievement in all ways!

I don’t get the need for the name calling from comment sections???

It’s wonderful to be part of an event with talented runners and dedicated athletes that provide an example of perseverance and dedication

❤I say well done 👏
Very proud that you chose to raise the profile of Park run….my favourite way of starting my weekend

All the very best

Holy… Thats a lot of hate for a parkrun. It’s not even a competitive race. The guy who came in second didn’t even care. Love your vids!

If you hadn't asked, they wouldn't have said no... best ask for forgiveness then permission. Great run.

Can see why they did it, they don't want every knobber turning up with pacers with TT bars and aero helmets crashing into folk going for their first sub-25, especially at some of other parkruns where you're doing 3 or 4 laps. Funny video though, new sub!

parkrun is great, parkrunners on the other hand are a bunch of gatekeeping lunatics - the facebook groups are horrendous, good vid mate!
