Welcome, evil josh

petition to get elcee on a master cube

The fact that he instantly keyed onto "second-class citizen" problem attests to his broad card game knowledge, good stuff.

Habibi enjoyer vs thighmena fans

Keywords aren't the big problem. Label each effect (1) and (2) and (3) like they do in Japan.
You can then say, "i activate the second effect". While reading the OCG Structures manga, i realized how insanely helpful that is.
Its so stupid the TCG still doesn't do that. Using "This cards name" instead of writing the name for a Hard OPT is also helpful, but less so.
Label the freaking effects. It takes the space of 3 characters. Thats all.

Bring this man back

Dude is the most knowledgeable yugioh magic player lmao. Great stuff!

I feel like Farfa didn't understand what Elcee meant by Faimena "8-for-1'ing" you.

He didn't say +8, he's not talking about card economy. He's saying that one card produced 8 effects, compared to your 1 effect. So value wise, Faimena is insane.

Wow, didn't expect that to be a main channel video, what a pleasant surprise!

I love his way of thinking. Very different than some players who playing yugioh from other tcg

Oh shit was not expecting to see this crossover, love his content!!

On the point of hand knowledge, I think everyone defaults to comparing Thoughtseize with ygo cards because the templating is similar, but a turn one Thoughtseize is not really perfect hand knowledge because there's a lot of card draw in the game and usually the big plays don't come on turn one, so you have at least a couple of draw steps that can completely change the course of the game. I'd say Gitaxian Probe in Vintage is the closest comparison, it doesn't hand rip, but the hand knowledge is much more game determinative because in Vintage you can do big plays turn one and potentially win the game, also it's free so you don't have to give up tempo to play it.

New episode Heart of the Cast just dropped

8-for-1 Faimena 😂. Never thought about it like that

I DIDNT NOT EXPECT TO SEE LIAM HANGING OUT WITH FARFA. FROM HIGHLANDER TO THIS IS ABSOLUTELY WILD AND AWESOME TO SEE!!

1:08:26 counter argument with farfa: faymena is 1 card that allow 8 interactions happen at the same time, while habakiri and other combo decks need to do step by step to earn the pluses. so if the steps were interupted specifically, there's a chance where the combo would be stopped. while faymena is still 1 card by quantity

I wish we could all have lovely convos like this but no, twitter exists

21:07 I was praying that the currently available loaner decks from events could be used in modes like ranked until the event period ends, that’d go MILES for new players by letting them try new decks periodically for free.

the dracotail/jund comparison is spot on actually

I think yugioh could benefit more from a structured text box and text icons than straight up keywords. Making the text less daunting to read would go a longer way than introducing keywords imo.

They obviously can't change the size of the card, but the Japanese sized smaller card is conflicting with the amount of text and the ability to add icons in the text box.
