If you read this? You my friend have a good taste in music.

My uncle (my mom's brother) served in WWII in France and was in an Army barracks with a lot of Southern boys, and had never heard country music before.  Well those Southerners had before long turned all those other fellas into country fans, and they would listen to the Opry together on Armed Forces Radio.  After my uncle got out of the Army he turned my mom on to country as well.  Hank hit the scene after WWII, but my uncle quickly became a big fan (not so easy to do because he lived in New England).  My mom was a lover of all kinds of music, including rock 'n' roll and R&B, but always had a special place in her heart for country, and she loved Hank Williams' music.  She turned me on to country, and when I learned to play guitar I learned on Hank Williams records and those old song folios.  To this day I can still remember how to play all those old songs.  How many performers can claim to have as many intergenerational fans as Hank?  Not even Sinatra or The Beatles can make that claim.

TALENT..You either have got it or you haven’t..Hank had it in bucket loads.

My Mother sure loved Hank. She used to talk about how he sang from his heart.

I love listening to Hank Williams, this is real country music. Country music has lost its way

Born in ‘48, I grew up listening to Hank, thanks to my daddy. He remains #1 and is family to me. Unmatched.

First rock and roll star there NEVER will be another his music stil is a huge influence always Will be  gone but never forgotten 🙏

I was born in 1934, and Hank Williams’ music was a part of my life as my grandparents had a business up in the mountains that had a juke box in it.  I have such special memories of those times.

He presented a very new sound not previously heard. He also posed a physical look for the dust bowl disaster and followed by Woodie Guthrie...  Hank opened a new avenue for early American music not previously ever heard. Hank happened at the right time for America!

Love Hank Williams, This is what real country sounds like.

Mama used to play his records. And sit by the player all night after dad died. 9 years old. I will never forget those images. Even at 50. I can still see and hear it.

Aside from how great his songs are, there’s something about the sound of his records that I just love.

The silence of a falling star, lights up a purple sky.

It's astounding the songs he wrote, and the hits he had.  All in only 6 years.  So profound people still listen to his music all these years later.  There are reaction videos on you tube.  With people hearing him for the first time in their lives.  They are all blown away with his music.

Grew up listening to Hank Williams, Sr. by listening to him on the radio with my dad. I was so young back then. Hank was only 29 yrs.old when he passed away. gone way too darn soon! His pain had to be unbearable! There will NEVER Ever be another singer, song writer like him!

As, a kid, I remember listening to Hank Williams on the radio. I’m now 80 and he’s still my favorite singer

Once you heard Hank Williams....it never leaves you. I watched the documentary of his life. It was very sad. Wish he could have managed to have more happy days and escape the pain of his self medicating  for pain that turned to addiction.

I was 6 years old, saw him live right in in Westerly RI. I’ll never forget at my uncle funeral they played all of Hanks songs. He love Hank Williams. As did my grandfather.

I was just a baby when he died but could remember my playing his songs as drove his truck a 18 wheeler I love songs today

Hank Williams Sr , Was A Legend,  In His Own Times.   And Still A Legend Today , In 2022 And Beyond.  RIP Aka The Hillbilly Shakespeare.
