What a naturally talented young man. To think that he had written so many songs before his tragic death at only 29 is amazing! 👍

I really liked him as the only Country singer I liked for quite awhile. He was just so pure in his singing. I can attest that Chronic Pain is hellacious to live with, with no pain medicine.
A lot of sad endings 😢

As a boy growing up in Scotland in the mid '60s I well remember my father listening to hank williams jim reeves and johhny cash on a reel to reel tape recorder...there was always a strong link between the scotish people and C&W music

What a brilliant and short life and all that while he was in constant pain

@janina8559 8 months ago

I had no idea he had such a short life.

He looked 50 years old at 29, you can tell by his looks that he had a rough rough life. A musical genius and a honor to country music for an eternity. He had no idea that he made music for us to embrace and to progress with forever.

I am a huge Hank fan, he's my favorite artist, but I never knew why he was so depressed. Chronic pain and deteriorating health would explain it, man was damned if he did drink and drug and damned if he didn't.

My father-in-law saw him at a bar near Fort Deposit, Alabama and a guy was yelling about his guitar sounding bad and Hank jumped down from the stage and rapped it over his head and he was wearing it like a necktie. Hank yelled how does it sound now and the fight was on.:hand-orange-covering-eyes:

Williams was on his way to Canton, Ohio to perform.

Hank Williams had Spina Bifida, he had fallen off a stage and the pain became unbearable. Due to his disease Hank was never able to drive a car and he asked his driver to stop at the nearest Dr.s Office. The Dr. made the mistake of giving Williams morphine without realizing he was heavily under the influence of alcohol. It killed him.

I would like to suggest that this channel should indicate the narrator in the title of each video, because I really enjoy this narrator and would like to listen to more of his episodes, but as is it is a pain to have to start each episode to identify which episodes are his.

I hope he slipped into a peaceful sleep before he passed, I pray his suffering ended there. Guys hug everyone you love next time you see them. Tell them you love them.
