Refreshing to see a reaction of someone who knows their stuff.

12:19 “Three months ago we had our first date.”  That tracks. Three months ago was left out of the intro of threes.

In a cast of massive heavy-hitters, Nicholas Hoult still manages to steal the show. His Lex is ABSOLUTELY  despicable.

Also love how this movie doesn't trivialise death and destruction. They make a point of showing evacuation, and Mali's murder is rightfully treated as an act of blackest villainy.

Superman was healing passively at the beginning of the movie it's just faster to get hit with a whole bunch of sun all at once

the most unrealistic part of this movie is that they didn't show clark being weirded out by the masses of people who were 100% volunteering to become part of his "secret harem".

great reaction!! you're really cool and funny (and pretty!!) 🤧

Guy Gardner is absolutely the worst Green Lantern, but he’s the best Green Lantern for THIS movie. 😂 Nathan Fillion brought so much charisma to the role, even though he’s the worst, I love him. I wouldn’t invite him to hang out, but I love watching him be a jackass.

Guy Gardner was perfect for the Green Lantern in this movie for two reasons. One is that while he is absolutely a giant asshole, he is also a hero. If he believed that Superman was a threat to earth, he would have put himself in the way without question. Even if he thought he would lose. Second is since he's the one who comes off more selfish, it means more for him to be the first one to intervene in Jahranpur.

Honestly as someone who has seen all the Superman movies, I also count 2025 as my personal favorite too. And though it may be blasphemy for some people, I genuinely think it’s better than the 1978 original live action movie; maybe by a small margin but still.

I consider this in the same category as The Avengers as one of those extremely rewatchable Superhero Movies that I will sit down to watch every time it’s on & will make a tradition of watching once a year. It’s just so excellent & and is such a sturdy foundational Cinematic Universe film that it gives me full faith in Gunn’s DCEU. Absolutely plan to be seated for both the Green Lantern Corps series & the Supergirl movie.

Speaking of I’m in love with the portrayal of Kara in this movie & so glad that Gunn has already given her such a clearly distinct personality that makes her markedly different from Clark which too many writers fail at by just making her a gender-swapped copy of Superman instead of her own personality.

Side note: Still bummed that we won’t get to see Corenswet’s Superman interact with Pattinson’s Batman from the Matt Reeves Batman Universe. I think the two would gel really well as friends & foils

It's refreshing to have a director who isn't ashamed of the source material making the movies. It feels like a lot of directors are ashamed of making comic book movies. James Gunn respects the source material and has fun with it. You know he's cooking with the DCU. The comic book nerd in me wants to see wacky characters like Condiment King, Crazy Quilt, and Killer Moth in live action. Imagine a buddy cop movie with Condiment King and Killer Moth.

Finally! A real DC fan reacting to the new Superman movie! So many reactors don't even know who Guy Gardener or Mister Terrific are! Let alone seen the Arrowverse! Thank you for this! 😭

She recognized Jitters, she’s got elite ball knowledge

So far this was the best reaction of Superman I have ever watched, no question about that, congrats!

For more Superman goodness , i highly recommend these animated movies: All star Superman (2011), Superman Unbound (2013) and Superman vs the Elite (2012). There are awesome.

7:19 it's because Man of Steel is not a good Super Man. That one is all about fear and looking cool, not caring about protecting citizens or the buildings around him. THIS one is the REAL Super Man material, where he can get serious but he's a symbol of Hope no matter how unfair the world is or might become

13:33  It’s different from what Superman does because, when the United States 🇺🇸 interferes in this kind of conflict, it’s to aggravate the situation or even just out of personal interest, so it doesn’t care what could happen to this country or even to both camps, they don’t care that the country is erased from the map their "intervention". While Superman intervenes in the ONE and ONLY objective of saving lives no matter the side, attacking attacker he just does not want violence and no deaths, and he makes sure that this kind of thing does not happen again.

What I realised after watching this movie was that the '78 Superman had always been my favourite not because I liked it as a movie, but because I adored Reeve and Kidder.  This is by far the best Superman movie for me, and is the Superman movie I've been wanting ever since I saw Superman: The Movie as a little kid

you crushing on mr terrific the entire time was amazing lmaoooo can relate tho

My read on this Superman tells me that even in the scene where he dove back to Earth from space to get rid of the nanites... The fact that Angela survived even though both herself and Lex appeared to think that she would be killed... Was that he STILL held back.
He was struggling to breathe. Desperate to get the nanites off/out of him. Went with his absolute LAST resort plan... And yet still, while he was plummeting back toward the ground, he was probably thinking of the two people clinging to him like "please don't die".
It was a dire enough situation for him to be willing to RISK their deaths in order to stop what was happening... But he still didn't want to kill them, so he actually managed not to.

If you watch Peacemaker, just remember while the first season is canon, it was made in the DCEU, not the DCU

"you're in love with him" YOU GET ITTT 🗣🗣🗣‼️‼️‼️
