Thanks for tuning in to tonight's episode exploring around the hidden corners of the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, the largest military test range in America by both land area and airspace. Lot's of new locations coming up so make sure you're subbed!

The thing I love most about this channel is it's the intersection of adventurizing, plane-spotting, and rational ufo enthusiasts

You need to buy yourself a white F250.

Just a note here... New Mexico Tech is in Socorro and that small university is a "best kept" secret. It literally has one for the best Materials & Metallurgical Science programs in the US. The word on the street is they do analysis for black projects from time to time.

We all do love an Uncanny Expedition

Anders deserves some of that Netflix production money.

We need more New Mexico on this channel

It's wild to me, that I will watch strangers wander around the desert or the woods for hours , and turn an Ai narrated video off within 0.07 seconds of it starting

In 1981 NASA operated a ground tracking station called ’Tula Peak’ on the WSMR. The station was used to track and support the first two Space Shuttle missions .   I was sent out from Goddard Space Flight Center to maintain and operate the Spacecraft Command Encoder system (SCE) and the Shuttle command and Voice Multiplier System (SCVMS) .   The Station closed after STS-2 .   Tula Peak was remote located and we usually entered in thru a back gate in the Tularosa area  .

I lived in New Mexico for 28 years and drove all over the place. I always managed to get out when I went in too deep. Just a bit if advice for any adventurous souls: This is a very large desert and you can be a long way from support if your vehicle breaks down or gets stuck. Take precautions, plenty of water, and back up communications gear. Travel with a friend in another vehicle.

The shots of the landscape you have are beautiful.

Thanks Anders for the great video about the White Sands Missile Range 🚀 Best regards from Germany and stay healthy

I don’t know what my dad who worked for Hughes aircraft company was working on out at white sands but the helicopter he was in crashed and he lived to tell us about the crash but he would never tell us what exactly they were doing out there when the crash occurred.!! This was like 60 years ago when I was around 10 years old..!

The Lonnie Zamora case is one of the most credible cases of all time.  There were even tiny footprints left at the scene.  Plus he was a cop and back then there was no more a respectable line of work.  He was honest as they come and this ruined his life physically and mentally.  May he RIP.

UNCANNY EXPEDITIONS
is a NATIONAL TREASURE

Do you ever wave at the men in the white trucks when you know they stopped to look at you ?

i grew up in tularosa, 3rd gen there.  the father of my best friend was a civilian contractor who built entire cities in an area called oscuro,  at the far end of the range, as targets to test the missiles. then theyd go scrape it flat and build another. kinda nuts

New Mexico is magical, weird and creepy. Years ago, I frequently traveled from Denver to New Mexico to visit friends in the Taos and Tesuque areas. I'd cut through Walsenburg and then down highway 522, mostly driving at night (that's when the weird stuff happens, right?). I saw huge, weird lights, things zipping around in the sky and MIB. Magical.

Greatings from the UK Lad, great channel. Thank you

Outstanding adventure Anders ! 👍  Once I was driving to AZ and passed White Sands.  The military stopped traffic because there was going to be a missile launch.  After an hour in the hot, boiling July sun they still didn't launch the missile.  The military then brought out tents for us to get in some shade and gave us cold water.  After waiting 2 hours, they cancelled the launch and let us go on our way !
