OHMSS was one of the best JB films. Best music, best scenery, proper story.

i like how at the ice rink with the bear you can see him being disoriented and genuinely scared and almost panic stricken... and he depends on tracy to help him get out of it. it gives the feeling of real danger and he is not simply invulnerable

LAZENBY DID A FANTASTIC JOB
SUCH A SHAME A RETURN WAS SABOTAGED AND NOT JUST BY HIM

This movie came out just three years before I was born, and by the time I first saw it, Roger Moore had already finished his run as 007, Timothy Dalton was just about to start, and I'd discovered Sean Connery as 007 on VHS only a few years earlier. Initially I didn't like either OHMSS or Lazenby for that matter, and I dismissed them both. It took several years for me to appreciate them both, and I realized that not only was OHMSS one of the most 007-like films at the time, but that more than Connery or Moore, Lazenby looked the most like Fleming's literary Bond. True, at the time he didn't have the acting experience of Connery, but now OHMSS is in my top 5 Bond film favorites. It's very much a Bond adventure of its time.

The way Bond operates and the world he inhabits is closer to the 60's, 70's and early 80's than any other era. Obviously Fleming wrote him in the 60's, but think of that time period; from the old spy novels I've read that were written in the 60's, Bond's gadgets, mannerisms, style and environment belongs in that groovy mid to late 60's era. An older friend of mine who grew up reading Fleming's novels and saw 1962's DR. NO in cinemas when he was just 11 years old recently suggested that the next few Bond films should be set in the 60's to early 80's eras, and some of the gadgets could be a bit anachronistic, as many of them have been. In YOLT (1967), we saw Bond watching that helicopter pick up the evil henchmens' car and drop it in the ocean...and he was watching all this happen on a computer-like screen in a Toyota 2000GT convertible, a car produced only from 1967 to  1970 - a time period decades before anyone could imagine a computer screen in a car.

James Bond feels a bit out of place in the 2020s, an era where spy stories and films are either much more stylish and detailed or even almost nonexistent. A character like Bond belongs in the 1960's to 1980's and even up until the mid 1990's. So perhaps start making "lost years" Bond films. None of them ever mentioned a specific year - we only identified the eras by the cars, the fashions, and even the music.

Lazenby was very good - there was a feeling of danger about him that the other actors never exuded.

Our family was on vacation and we saw this moving at a drive-in. I was 13 years old and had never been to a drive-in before. But it was the movie itself is what I remember the most. I had learned how to ski and just loved all the action sequences with skiing in them. And even as a kid I loved the music. It is one of my favorite Bond movies!

The 60s Bonds were the best. Connery is Bond. Lazenby was a good stand in. The movie was one of the most action packed.
Diana Rigg was superlative.

Lazenby was entertaining and did a good job. Good Bond movie.

Without a doubt, my favourite bond film. Also, john Barry's best score.

I'll rank it pretty high, probably it has been the best of all. Set of actors, story line, scenerie, music and finally how the director brought finally all the pieces of the puzzle together.

AI guy keeps “forgetting” how to pronounce Lazenby

The best action Bond plus an excellent score and theme music. The credit sequence is fantastic.

It has always been my favorite Bond movie.

I love this movie. George did a great job doing a "new" Bond. Pity we didn't  get a second movie (like we did with Timothy Dalton)

Lazenby's one-off experience as Bond was  made into a celebrated documentary and would make for an interesting movie in its own right.

Best Bond music and Diana Rigg - oh boy.

My favourite Bond. The end is still distressing to this day.

George put in a really good performance as Bond in OHMSS. He had great screen presence and he was a fine physical actor - his fight scenes were superb. OHMSS is a Great Bond film, one of the very best. Bravo George! I wish he had stayed on in the role.

One of the overall top fives.
Imagine a three-streak G.L, filming the novels Thunderball, On Her... , and YOLT in the Original Spectre-trilogy way?
