Why will fish liver be the first meal served in Jannah? In an authentic hadith preserved in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم revealed that the first meal of the people of Jannah will be the extra lobe of a fish's liver. In this video, we tell the full story behind this hadith: the scholar of Madinah, Abdullah ibn Salam رضي الله عنه, who came with three questions he said only a prophet could answer, what his own people said about him after he embraced Islam, and what two more authentic narrations reveal about the first gift, the bull of Jannah, the spring of Salsabil, and the day the earth becomes bread.

And at the end, we answer the question in the title honestly: why fish liver?

💬 Tell us in the comments: had you ever heard that the first meal of Jannah is fish liver?
