When I think of pandit nikhil banerjee, I am reminded of the magic this LEGEND created with Ustad Ali Akbar khan in raga chandranandan. He undoubtedly had supreme powers, without a shade of doubt. Mighty blessed to be an indian

He was a soft-spoken person, sans glitzy-glamour and it is reflected in his music (as well as his quote mentioned in this video). Each recording of his speaks of the depth and heights that his music can seamlessly take our consciousness to.

Except God's own hand it's impossible... speechless, no words to comment... also you can't speak much where divinity is at every note ... most precious creation by Baba Alauddin and Maa Annapurna, especially Nikhilbabu's music is what what Maa actualy wanted to express ... rarest among rare ones ... keeping greats in my heart I am sure nobody ( Sitarists) comes within his close parameter whosoever may .... It's my personal realization 🌷🌷🙏🙏🙏

Sri Nikhil Banerjee’s music provides a direct link to the divinity within us and that is all around us. It has been a source of inspiration for me throughout my own life journey as I am sure it has been to countless others. God Bless his Soul🙏🙏🙏

Was fortunate to have a few dialogues with him, courtesy Ustad Dhyanesh Khan, second son of Ustad Ali Akbar, on some issues.
Nikhilda, as we used to address him, was a perfect gentleman and an avid student of Classical Music.
He used to take lessons from Vidushi Annapurna Devi even when he was an established Sitarist all across the globe.
His rendition of Bilashkhani Todi at Dover Lane Music Conference is still the very best experience to me on Sitar.
He was unparalleled, unmatched, unbelievable.
His untimely demise was one of the greatest losses of music world.

I really appriciate Pandit Nikhil Bannerjee and hes musical standpoints, he has the soul of India, even more than Ravi Sankar. Raga Malkauns played By him is my favorit, it is really deep expression of bhakti and striving to the goul God has haft in mind fot us. This aftenoon raga is more new for me. I listened it the first time, calm it made me, it pured me from days influences towards the night.

I offer my pranam to the artist. He is one of the God's chosen ones to make his musical offerings to the soul of this country. I enjoyed it as much as I do from Khan Saheb Abdul Karim Khan 's rendering of this raga.

Please listen with headphones. Greatly played bhimplas by pandit ji. Tabla is so softly and gently played by shri kanhai datt, It creates heavenly sensation in ur ears.
