It's hard to feel bad when the voters refuse to actually fix the issues at hand. It seems they'd rather push out anybody who can't afford Nashville, forcing people to live and drive farther, rather than building more housing and mixed use communities. At the same time, as more people are forced to move farther out through icnreased housing prices, this also worsens traffic and instead of voting for a plan to reduce traffic with bus lines and light rail, they reject it for a half baked pseudo solution that won't really do much, doubling down on car dependancy. Great job Nashville, you've made you cake, now eat it.

Every time people gripe about Nashville being too expensive or growing too fast, I like to remind myself…at least it’s not Memphis.

Another great video.

I am 25 years old. I am also from and live in Nashville all my life. I also track Nashvilles growth for years to almost a full decade now and i have mixed feelings. I know growth is important becuase it brings prosperity and given what Nashville use to be before the massive spurt which was strip clubs on the corners in neighborhoods like Germantown, WeHo, 12 south, The nations, Metro center, trinity lane, East Nashville, and etc. with an influx of drug dealers on the street and etc but I also hate dealing with Nashvilles traffic but I have faith that the transit plan they have going on right now will dim the traffic down some. A big city will always have a traffic problem even China and India has traffic problems. Nashville will be fine. I also dont give a shit what someone who just moved here a few years ago says  becuase they never seen the other side of Nashville way before they even thought about saving to get here.

I think its a bit early to say this.

They kind of did though, because traffic is a fucking nightmare. 24/7 there's traffic. This is coming from a native.

Gentrification plan of Nashville bites the dust.

lol when were they trying to become ATLANTA?!

MAKE IT SPRAWL
