I Came for the Music… But Their WISDOM Stunned Me | The Warning TEDx 2017

The Tightrope to 5D (Music Reactions +)

I came for the music… but their WISDOM stunned me. Seeing The Warning this young—already extraordinary musicians, already so courageous, empathetic and determined to be exactly who they were meant to be—was deeply inspiring.

This The Warning TEDx 2017 reaction reminded me that sometimes the most remarkable thing about a young person isn't what they can do, but what they already understand. Their words about courage, criticism, dreams and being true to yourself resonated with me deeply.

I came expecting great music. I left thinking about who these young women already were. ❤

The courage, empathy and wisdom The Warning showed here genuinely moved me. What struck you most about them in this TEDx presentation—and did you see something in these young musicians that hinted at the band they would become?

I’d especially love to hear from longtime Warning fans: what did you see here that I might have missed?

This is the video that hooked me in all those years ago, absolute Rockstars! They are so intelligent, humble and articulate (in their second language), The Warning needs to be protected at all costs!

Yes, of course they are brilliant songwriters and performers, but the real thing is that they are so down to earth, smart, wise souls and the nicest people you could meet. People hearing them for the first time don't realize this until they see some live interviews or these excellent TedX talks. It's more than just the songs that make the fans so fiercely loyal.

At the end of a LONG day
I come home and reward myself to some "The Warning" ⚠️ content
It's my happy 🎉 spot of late 😃

This is their 2nd TEDx talk. The first one was a year earlier. It's called "Young Girls Love To Rock." I usually recommend watching that one first because seeing the progression between the two makes the 2017 one even better, in my opinion.

These true road warrior ladies are about to headline an official NFL game halftime show on prime time on ESPN at a 85K cap packed stadium Nov 22… just let that sink in.

Call me crazy but these ladies are on its way to become the most successful all-female rock band of all time … in their mid 20s

Songs they (presumably/mostly) wrote in 2016, when they were 16, 14, and 11.
* "Unmendable" has been performed 75 times, but only once since 2020.
* "When I'm Alone" has been performed live at 110 shows, this TEDX-2017 was the 6th time, and the most recent was July 2026. A Dany homework assignment from their 2015 summer program at the Berkley College of Music in Boston.
* "Survive" has performed at 169 shows, the TEDX was #3, and the most recent was last month, Aug 2026.

Their comfort on-stage at such young ages is astounding. A university audience, thousands of miles/kilometers from home, in their second language ... so why not lead off the talkie parts with the 12 year-old? Great idea.

I heard them talk years ago about all the many books that they always read. I'm sure lot of their mature lyrics came from that.

Your comment about filling stadiums is prophetic. On Feb 5, 2027 they are headlining their own concert at the 65,000 capacity Estadio GNP in Mexico City. Assuming it sells out, this will be the biggest concert by an all-female Rock Band in history (or so an A.I. search tells me)

Absolutely love the TEDx talks, it shows just how well spoken, incredibly intelligent and inspiring these Ladies really are Among Extremely talented and super humble, Love Everything about these 3 Absolute beautiful Souls!!!❤❤❤

They've endured 13 years of incredibly hard work. An initial EP, FIVE studio albums, a double live album, a full length theatrical release of their Mexico City 2025 concert, and hundreds of videos later, they are among the most proficient musicians you'll find touring today. This is the video that snagged so many members of The Warning Army. They will fill a 60,000 seat stadium in Mexico City next year. They're selling tickets on their site, already.

They did a TedX talk the year before this. You can really see the growth of their music in 1 year.

@mccc6060 1 month ago

This was actually their 2nd appearance at the University of Nevada TEDx Talks. They were invited the year before to the 2016 TEDx Talks. In their discussion between songs they talked about their origin story of how they became a band. By watching both performances you can really see the tremendous growth and development they made in that year. You will find it listed as The Warning TEDx Talks Young Girls who love to Rock.
