This week, they became first Mexican and first all-female band to have a #1 single, "Kerosene", on Billboard Rock chart; released new album "Everything's Falling"; announced NFL half-time performance and announced their first 60,000 capacity Stadium Headline show in Mexico City

Their song 'Kerosene' is #1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart. They are the first all-woman band and the first Mexican band to hit #1.

The Pepsi Center CDMX concert was their 10th anniversary as a band(2023). They've done 2 more albums since. They are a very hard-working band that never seems to miss. Looking forward to more The Warning reactions. 🤟⚡🤘

Synchronized hair-flips are their superpower

And they're even better when you actually see them live in person.  Their team is awesome and their parents tour with them as part of the team.

The omv for "Alessia Cara and The Warning _ Enter Sandman for the Metallica Blacklist album" on their YT channel. There are more nuances in the vocal harmonies on the studio recording than there are live. It's worth watching.
The song, "Escapism" from Honda Studios | Uforia Music live. And the omv's for the songs, "Kerosene", "Ego" _ featuring "Frijol" the Rottweiler, song is in Spanish, and "Ritual _ a beautiful cinematic masterpiece.

Enter Sandman evolution
originally, Enter Sandman was about SIDS and how it can affect families and tear them apart... Lars and others thought this was a bit too dark so they talked James into rewriting it a bit so it was more about children's dark dreams and scary thoughts... kind of like the children's stories about creatures under the bed or in the closet...
when DPA/TW reimagined Enter Sandman , they did it from the female perspective and made it more of a rock lullaby...

Welcome back!!
You have soooo much to catch up on!! Looking forward to enjoying your trip down The Warning's rabbit hole!!

For their 2014 viral cover of “Enter Sandman” they were Dany 14, Pau 12 and Ale was 9 years old. They officially started their band in 2013 so this 2023 Pepsi Center CDMX version marked their 10th anniversary as a band. At this point Dany was 23, Pau 21 and Ale was 18 years old. They had released four studio albums and two EPs under their belt. Dany, Pau and Ale were seasoned rock veterans and very tight as a band.

Pau went on, that same year 2023, to win the award for Rock Drummer of the Year from Drumeo. They have just released their latest album “Everything is Falling” and have the # 1 requested rock single “Kerosine”, the first for an all-female band and the first for a Latin rock band.

There is so much more to discover from these amazing sisters.

reimagined Enter Sandman
DPA/TW and Alessia Cara certainly understood the assignment!
Alessia Cara is a Grammy winning Canadian Pop and R&B singer... they had 10 days to rip this rendition of Enter Sandman from the ether and make it a darker, more foreboding, and haunting rock lullaby than the original metal version... they made the deadline and they made an OMV for it to boot!

this reimagining of Enter Sandman was done because they, and many other artists from numerous genres, were invited by Metallica to take one of the songs from the original "Black" album, keep the lyrics and change it up how ever you like... play it backwards, upside down, whatever... this was all for the 30th anniversary of the "Black" album... all the submissions from 50someodd artists were put on the 2021 "The Metallica Blacklist" album... the proceeds from the album sales are split 50/50 with half going to Metallica's "All Within My Hands Foundation" and the other half being donated to a charity of the participating artists' choice.

in the OMV, Dany (guitar) and Alessia share the lead vocals until they are in the three doorways when Dany takes over and Alessia does more of the background oooohs and aaaahs... the version they play in concert has Dany doing the vocals with a backing track of Alessia's ohhhs and ahhhs... of course Ale (bass) and Pau (drums) join in with their angelic harmonies in both... this is a fantastic reimagining of the iconic original...

the performances at their "Big 3" 10th Anniversary shows, in Oct 2023, are astounding with the 10-piece string section from Monterrey, DPA/TW's home town...
the string section came out to join Pau on her solo keyboard performance of Black Holes and stayed for Enter Sandman ... i like the string section's lead-in to ES while the stage was being cleared of the piano and other equipment from Pau's solo performance...

🤘🔥🤘They bring sophistication to rock!

Yes, here we have three good sisters, none of them are jealous.  If one couldn't go to the ball the other two would stay home with her. They have grown into such amazing adults.  It is inspiring!  Loved the reaction!

Ale walks in like, this is MY house. My favorite version. Reminds me of a Bond movie soundtrack.

Background:  This recording was in their basement (a.k.a. The Warning Cave).  The recording was to be sent to their grandparents but the file was too large; so their dad posted it on his YouTube channel...and the rest is history...

The chronology of The Warning - Enter Sandman

In 2014, 12-year-old Paulina was profiled in the women's drumming publication, Tom Tom Magazine. The band first gained widespread notice later in 2014 when, at ages 9 through 14, their YouTube video in which they performed Metallica's "Enter Sandman" went viral among rock fans, eventually earning more than 27 million views. The video received attention from Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett, who offered particular praise for Paulina, saying, "The drummer kicks maximum ass!.”

The following reimagined version of Enter Sandman was a project for Metallica's Blacklist Album to celebrate the 30 anniversary of the Black Album.   The Warning & Alessia Cara had 1 week to come up with their entry of Enter Sandman.  So a collaboration of The Rock Sisters and a Pop & R&B singer was born.  Proceeds from The Metallica Blacklist are split evenly: 50% goes to Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation, and the remaining 50% is donated to charities personally chosen by the 50+ contributing artists on the album.

track 4 Juanes (Colombia)
track 5 Rina Sawayama (Japan/UK)
track 6 Weezer (US)
The 2nd song on album 1 is Sad But True performed by 7 artists/bands.

An OMV was produced during COVID; Alessia in Canada & The Warning in Mexico.  If you react to the OMV you will see Alessia's image projected on the wall.  Other bands included on the Blacklist Album were closer to covers.  BTW, Alessia is an award winner Canadian Pop and R&B singer nominated for 74 awards - winning 24 including a Grammy for Best New Artist in 2018.  Metallica stated to do the song any way you wish but keep/don't change the lyrics.

Tidbit: Metallica performed with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra in 1999 and 2019 - concerts were titled S&M and S&M 2 (Symphony & Metallica).
The string ensemble was use for 2 songs Enter Sandman and Black Holes with Paulina on a grand piano.
Dany's white Gibson Explorer guitar was gifted to her from Izzy Hale of Halestorm when The Warning open for Halestorm in 8/2/2022..

This was done during the pandemic in 2021.  If you didn't know Alessia is an award winner Canadian Pop and R&B singer nominated for 74 awards - winning 24 including a Grammy for Best New Artist in 2018.  Metallica stated to do the song any way you wish but keep/don't change the lyrics. Alessia recorder her part in Canada while The Warning did theirs in Mexico.

Check out the OMV from The Warning's channel. It's the original audio for the Blacklist album so we get Alessia's contribution and a couple other features not present in the live performance. And it was filmed in a really cool setting.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tKQgesCcTc

Everything from this show (Pepsi Center) is fantastic. Disciple, Hell You Call a Dream, and Dust to Dust/Dull Knives are all great possible next steps from that performance that showcase their talents. Or if you're looking for more synchronized hair flips, Survive has those in spades. :)

Other great videos to check out would be Evolve from the 2023 MTV Music Video Awards, Escapism live from the Honda Studios or any their music videos from their new album (Everything's Falling) Kerosene, Ego (one of their 4 Spanish language original songs), Ritual or Bite My Tongue.

Awesome reaction..!  I'm glad you did the two E.S.s back-to-back!  FYI: The sound was really low for both your speaking voice and the music video.

You should watch the whole Pepsi Center concert, or at least make a reaction video to it. And then check out the new album.

All three sisters pretty much won the genetic lottery. But while they were born with looks and talent, they chose to take the opportunity that the original viral Enter Sandman video gave them and run with it. Lots of people go viral, get their 15 minutes of fame, then fade (or burn out). If you go through their YouTube channel, you can see years of hard work and development.

In this same concert they play a song, “Hell You Call A Dream” about both loving and hating the life: loving the playing in front of crowds, hating the tour-bus life that’s required to get from concert to concert.

In the words of Ringo Starr, it don’t come easy.

Welcome back, Kyra. Enjoy the show!
