Can I just give massive props to the main guy who showed you around, answered every question and was 1000% honest, knew heaps about the town, etc. big up.

This is the best journalism in Australia, none of the Aussie media would do this

Im being serious can we just appreciate how much spanian has changed his life

Keep in mind, the elders campaigned for the alcohol ban. It wasnt imposed upon the locals by intrusive outsiders, the local aboriginal elders campaigned for it.

The craziest thing about this episode is that if you google Alice Springs theres just a bunch of tourist websites trying to get you to visit. This stuff just gets brushed under the rug.

"the flies alone will make you wanna bash people" 😂😂😂😂

Onya Spanian! Was a honour to show you around  home! Episode turned out wicked 🔥💯🖤

I came here cause of a Reddit thread, didn’t know/care about this city until I saw a thread on Reddit asking how life is in this place

I reckon you should do an 'OUTTA THE HOOD' series and show people from these hoods who have gotten out of there situation for the better and share their stories to inspire change in these communities, just an idea. 🙏

Bro, dead set I don't think anyone else has ever shown sheltered folk like us down in Sydney what Alice is like, that was fkn insane. You're doing legit fantastic journalism man.

I was born in Alice Springs, moved away decades ago and never been back.   All I can say is children are a direct result of their parents.

I absolutely loved the girl who gave him the t shirt with the aboriginal art as a welcoming gift. Very nice gesture.

The drinking ban is not about racism!! Most elders support the alcohol ban. Check what goes on to small children in some of those communities, the ban is to save them.

51:40 The contrast between Spanian being in shock at the knife and machete brawl and the local saying "let's ogg" with a massive smile on his face is crazy

whilst there's a full on knife fight unfolding the Sudanese brah "lets ooooog" in spanians ear 😂🤣😂

A friend went to Alice Springs as a community nurse, served the locals built great friendships. At the end of her contract she organised to have her belongings transported, when the packers arrived there was nothing. The very community she served stole absolutely everything she owned knowing she had left, she was crushed and felt it was all for nothing. After 4 years of giving her heart they ripped out her soul. I felt so bad for her she really thought she had gained at least some respect for her efforts.

The end 20mins of this video is the most mental thing I’ve seen come out of Australia. That being said, Spanian hasn’t failed once to deliver the most informative and raw footage of what life really is like around the disadvantaged places in Australia and the world. Much love from Brissy

I was born and lived over 40 years in Alice. My Dad and brother still live there. My 83yo Dad has been broken into several times, hospitalised. This isn't the town I grew up in 😢. I've reserved my burial plot next to my Mum. It will always be home. Intervention needs to happen to allow people to feel safe.

Stumpz is so well spoken. Good conversationalist & listener. Would watch more content w him in it 👏🏾
