Hello Creative Souls 🥵
This week's video is a quick one - we're off on an adventure in Vincent Van Gogh (our VW camper-van) down to Devon and Cornwall, and I wanted to share exactly what's making the cut in my travel art kit this time.
With the summer heat in mind, I've had to leave the wax crayons at home (they don't love a hot campervan!) and pack a leaner, more considered kit instead, my Lightwish sketchbook, a compact watercolour palette, and just enough to keep me creating without weighing down the van.
If you've ever wondered how to pack a minimal travel art kit without leaving your favourite mediums behind, this one's for you.
In this video:

✏️ Why I'm leaving certain supplies at home this time 💬 A few thoughts on packing light without losing creative options
Let me know in the comments, what's the one art supply you refuse to travel without? I do answer all the comments, so don't be shy!
If you'd love more of the cosy, behind-the-scenes moments from this trip - the bits that don't make the main channel - that's exactly what Creative Ladybirds membership is for. It's a lovely little corner of extra content, and every join genuinely helps keep this channel going. Just click the Join button on the Purple Ladybird Art channel page.
It just leaves me to say thank you for watching, and I'll see you in the next one.
I am affiliated with Amazon.co.uk. If you click on one of my links and make a purchase I receive a small commision at no extra cost to the customer. This small donation helps me fund my art channel and showcase any new art supplies with you. 🙏

Two blow on me in my studio, one hangs around my neck, it's noisy but worth it!
I don't even know what 30c is but it sounds hot. Here,in Oregon, USA, hot is 90*F and up. A few years back it was 115*! And with Hot Flashes it's HOTTER!
I feel your pain🌞.
Thanks for showing your bare minimum art kit🖌️. I have a landscape sketch book similar to yours plus a few minis, under 2".
