Welcome back to ChriswithaC RC! π
Sometimes this hobby has a funny way of bringing everything full circle.
A couple of years ago I spotted an old Team Associated RC8B3.2E on Facebook Marketplace. It wasn't brand new, it wasn't the latest model, and it certainly wasn't a shelf queen... but from the very first drive I absolutely loved it.
That buggy has done everything.
It's been bashed...
Launched off jumps...
Driven flat out through parks...
Taken some serious tumbles...
And somehow, every single time, it simply got back up and asked for more.
It became one of those RCs that you never really want to part with because every scratch tells a story.
Recently though, something changed.
After getting back into racing and taking on my very first 1/8 E Buggy race at the Evolution Models Summer Series at Ledbury Model Car Club, I came home with the biggest smile I've had in a long time.
I was completely hooked.
The speed...
The atmosphere...
The jumps...
The competition...
Everything about 1/8 electric buggy racing reminded me why I fell in love with this hobby all those years ago.
The old RC8B3.2E proved exactly why Team Associated has such an incredible reputation, and it carried me through my first proper race meeting better than I could ever have imagined.
Then something happened I genuinely wasn't expecting.
My amazing wife had been listening.
She'd watched me talking about racing.
She'd seen how much I was enjoying it.
She'd asked me one simple question...
"If you could replace your RC8... what would you buy?"
There was only one answer.
The Team Associated RC8B4.2E.
The latest evolution of one of the most successful 1/8 race buggy platforms ever created.
I honestly didn't think any more of the conversation...
Until the very next day.
π¦ Knock...
Knock...
There was a parcel at the door.
And somehow...
I was now the proud owner of a brand-new RC8B4.2E kit.
Safe to say... I was absolutely speechless.
So this video marks the beginning of a brand-new chapter on the channel.
π In this video...

This video isn't just about building another race buggy.
It's about starting another chapter.
Learning.
Improving.
Making mistakes.
Meeting incredible people.
Travelling to race tracks all over the UK.
And hopefully becoming a better racer along the way.
If you've raced an RC8B4.2E...
Or you're currently running one...
I'd genuinely love to hear your setup tips.
What works?
What doesn't?
What should I change before the next race meeting?
Drop your thoughts below because I'm here to learn just as much as I am to share the journey.

π A Quick Word
This hobby has given me far more than just RC cars.
It's given me incredible friendships, unforgettable memories, and days where everything else simply fades into the background.
If RC does the same for you...
You're in good company.
Thanks for being part of this journey.
