Oohh this camera is my dream ❤
I have a Lumix FZ300 and is very good.

👍👍👍

Great Stuart, can't wait to get mine...

If they add pre capture, I will buy it.

After many many years carrying tons of glass and bodies for BIF and wildlife, I sold out my Z8, D500, 500mm PF and Tam Z 50-400mm and  after seeing Steve Perry review I went straight to my brand new RX10 V. My first conclusions? 1,1 kgs wow, no more weight slave, blazing Alpha high end AF module, lock-on sticks to almost every bird on flight, AF-ON button very near my thumb, thats very nice, lovely EVF, fast manual and settings for zoom, a sort of copy of Nikon menús finally, image quality very good - enought for me with CaptureOne - long lasting battery, buffer swallows all and glass shines at 500mm f4 at low iso and 3200 speed. I do not shoot low light nor video and yes, Pre Capture would be even better plus full Raw but I dont care, very happy with my new toy. Sony has done it once again.

Interested if the in camera pano has nowbeen allowed with zoom, the mark4 only at 24mm

Sold my iv at 1150 today - painful - I will miss it . I expect mark 5 prices to fall for grey market sub 2000 and will buy then

Using A1ii with 300 2.8 2x tc or without tc which will out perform an RX 10 but the RX10 is super portable and flexible

Noisy zoom

So you have these fancy photography opportunities over there. Okay, I'm not jealous at all! 😁

Blimey Stuart you knock out your video quickly . Mine will be ready 5.00pm Sunday (earlier for Members). A great day out and thanks for showing off the Sony new RX10 V to "Camilla & I" . Just lining up my shot selection with yours for comparison. This will go well after your 25 minutes ramble singing the praises of the new cameras . You certainly got some very sharp shots at Arundel 😊WWT.

It’s a pity the zoom motor can be heard in the video.😢

Any chance you can compare it to the RX100 VII?

Great video again Stuart, particularly the video of the humming bird hawk moth - was the static shot a separate one or taken from video, if that's possible? That camera is really impressive and seems to do it all with aplomp, I'm just wondering where the tea and milk come out....

Love that shot at 6:40!  It would've been even nicer in 2.5K 1000 fps. 4K 120P is still not slow enough for these kind of shots where they flap their wings. Sony this is why you need to bring back 1000 fps in higher quality.

Very nice images. Were you at a nature reserve or Drusillas? Lovely place wherever you were. ❤😊

Stuart, can you still take a still while shooting video like you could with the R10IV?

Could you test the 1080 240 fps from the RX10V vs the RX10 IV? I want to see if the 240 fps is cleaner on the RX10 V.

Very impressive Stuart, but I think I will stay with my current rather unusual ‘lightweight’ setup of the new Sony A7Rvi with the 70-350 G lens - only 200g heavier than the RX10vi, but not quite as much range with 70-525mm using APS-C at the long end and costs more than double the price - but does still give me a full frame sensor, 28mp images in APS-C and pre capture which is a sad and unexplained omission from the RX10v. Mind you that is all the RX10v seems to lack and it looks very good for most situations and appears a perfect all-in-one travel camera.

Thanks for all these videos. I am considering it to complement my P1000, that I really like. In an overcast day with iso 1600, 600mm, f4, what shutter speed do estimate the rx10 can do?

I still cant decide if its actually worth the upgrade, I was just expecting so much more. Its an awesome camera but would like to actually see a comparison of images side by side. Yes it wins on video but again are people buying it for video? so conflicted with this one
