I love the fact that whenever a Custodes show up in battle, the Administratum immediately marks that battle as won because Custodes are just that good

Emperor: "boobs or ass"
Custodes: "Personality"
Emperor: "SUBLIME"

Fun fact: the custodians sometimes unleash greater daemons and hunt them IN the imperial palace just to cure their boredom

One note about the companions: It's not just the boredom that eats at them.  The Emperor is essentially a psychic nuclear reactor and being near the throne for extended periods is really bad for everyone, custodian or otherwise.  The companions' armor is charred pitch black through the experience

Please do Sisters of Silence, cause god emperor knows, they need some spotlight

The Custodians actually didn't have any extra organs, they were just made to have the absolute peak of human genetics.

Quantum Inert is a weird-ass physics term that basically means that the atoms which make up the molecules of Auramite have stopped moving completely, making the material incredibly dense, while also making it really complicated to work with.  Manipulating it in any way, whether to form it into stuff or destroy it, is a real pain, it's really good at stopping things like radiation, it reflects light in weird ways, and, I think it would be immune to things like fusion/fission, so it'd be highly resistant to melta or gauss weapons.  (which isn't to say that all the non-auramite parts of the armor would be immune to damage)

YES! KITTEN CAMEO! THANKS YOU KRAKDUK THANKS YOU!!

If Henry Cavill likes the Golden Boys, then you know you’re doing something awesome.

One note to the creation of the Custodes, the aspirant to become one must endure a Nurgle Daemon farts for a insufferable amount of time, resist the temptation of a Slaanesh Daemon until it gets tired, beat a Khorne Daemon barehanded and almost naked, and look into a Tzeentch Daemon's eyes for a VERY long period of time without blinking.

A city near me has a museum filled with old weaponry that was part of our kings' personal arsenals going back to the 1500s. Among those are halberds with  flint lock pistols/muskets integrated in their blades. So the idea of a gun halberd isn't so far fetched

That goofy face in the emperor's sweet armor gets me every time.

these guys were also engineered to be able to kill space marines

[Book Excerpt] Custodes were created to annihilate Space Marines. [The Emperor’s Legion]

We were different.
We fought as we had always fought – methodically, precisely, falling into the numerology of the near future and racing ahead of mortal thought.

These warriors were used to slaughter, either in the Eye against their own kind or against the mortal defenders of His realm, but we had been made to hunt them. That was perhaps the darkest of the many secrets we carried – that from the very beginning, from even before the Great Crusade itself, we had been prepared for this and engineered to surpass them.

To the galaxy at large these warriors were the greatest of His created weapons, the apogee of His martial genius. We considered them only as our natural prey.

I just imagine quantum inert just means "its impervious to anything until the writer decides it isn't"

Fun fact, Custodes don't have multiplied organs like astartes, we still keep our two lungs and one heart, we're just the most hardest augmented thing to kill, the moritoi [Custodian Dreadnoughts] alone is a force to be revered, just as all custodes, a harlequin tried to kill a custodes piercing his heart, the custodian didn't die until he killed that harlequin, same with one of the custodian missing half his face in the webway trying to get as many loyalists and custodes out, also custodes switching custodes is a thing, but when we stand guard it's like a statue, some may even mistaken us as statues haha, also correction, custodes do have a solid command structure, shield captains form a shield company and those companies form into a shield host, granted these are all temporary for the moment but a custodian can switch from company from host when needed, since they're not bound to it, but doing so they must also change their armor colours and gems to the appropriate host uniform, shield captains have a wide array of titles and positions, for example, Prefect, Lictor, Proconsul, and Tribune, these are the titles given to a shield captain, however above shield captains are captain commanders whom command an entire shield host, these guys are advised by their shield-captains and their companions, the captain-general is the only rank above the custodes, the emperor isn't a rank it's a position, and a position that is unobtainable making it rankless, however, custodes also have castes which is their specialization like hykanatoi, Dankanatoi and more, their command structure is indeed solid, it's the custodes below them that doesn't have a solid regiment like guardsmen, we instead put a specific custode in a position where needed, say for example if a hykanatoi guard is in the aquilan shields, and he's needed elsewhere you can put him in the dread-host or solar-watch

Little addendum to this video I realize I misread the codex and custodes don’t have geneseed or extra organs. I somehow missed the part right before that said space marines. WHOOPS, dangers of not sleeping I suppose. The quote was “A SPACE MARINE is created by the introduction of gene-seed to the body, as well as supporting organs” i totally spaced the first and arguably most important part of that quote. Sorry bout that

Wow they certainly are the bestest best guys who ever bested. Tell me what you think about the custodes and what your favorite shield company is (tbh I don't know that many so maybe also include why you like them)

4:38 they don’t get extra organs their organs are as perfect as possible

If you are reading this I can guarantee you have not finished the video GET BACK
