I won't be gaming period when it comes to new games. I'm just gonna replay PS3, PS4, and PS5 games come 2028 and beyond. Working on collecting physical games now so I don't have to worry about ridiculous prices later.

With everything happening around the gaming industry, like the mass layoffs, studio shutdowns, rising prices, forced AI integration, and the removal of physical media, the future feels really bleak. No telling when it might get better, or if it ever will.

Consoles are now pretty perverse things of abuse...

They make you BUY YOUR OWN MACHINE, but then they deny you to own your bought games on it.

i went from being a full xbot fan boy to full PC, i bought all my games again on steam and some on gog and many more i would never be able to play on a console. yes it was expensive but so worth it

The ps5 is a $500+ license agreement with sony to only use your purchases through them untill they decide to revoke your access.

I'm pretty sure this is a symptom of a larger issue that is happening throughout the industry. I got my first console in 85 and I feel like I'm finally ready to be done with gaming. There is simply no safe place from the greed and that includes PC

5:38  facts this is why im saving up for a build on pc specialist  with 96gb ram and a 5090 and amd cpu with a disc drive as my retirement build, and selling my ps5, sure my nephew wants my ps5 but i will let him play the pc and i will  tell him this is why i switched and the money saving benefits long term and i plan to  even tell him what made me jailbreak my older consoles   and pirate when i was his age and even show a real life example  with my switch since i backup my purchases and tell him the benefits and show him a video of  the preservation market  in pakistan.
