Ps-I would’ve never been aware of Marsheaux “A Broken Frame” cover album if it wasn’t fir this. And DM’s original Broken Frame has always been my favorite DM album and still is. So,i was BLOWN AWAY to see that cover album even exists (in fact,i didn’t even know there WERE even such a thing as whole album cover albums).
I am very curious how that is even allowed to cover and sell someone else’s whole album..but i certainly don’t expect you lot to explain it to me lol. LOVE you lots lads! Cheers from the States 🍻

Gary Numan was the first artist i ever bought records of at age 14. Here In America there were a lot of Numan “cut out’s” mid 80’s so they were cheap which was one reason i bought them.I used to sit in my room under a red light bulb, burn incense, and just revel in the atmosphere.I was VERY sick with Crohn’s disease so i felt like an Alien. And I felt this would be the kind of music aliens would make.

HE'S BACK. With the critical acclaim he always should have had. Exile really did it for me. It happily dragged me back into the fold. The album version of A prayer for the unborn was and still is AWESOME. I have returned to buying all his albums. Splinter EFFINMAZINGALBUM

The Pure era was really good. The gigs really vibey. Happy days. Mixed feelings on his resurection. Pleased to see it but you cannot even touch the genius of 79 - 81.
Sorry to say, the Albert Hall gig was fantastic. We were not going to go but were gifted some tickets.
These 3 parters are really good. Nice one fellas.
Mark Devlin would say that the cover of Savage was pre predictive programming for the current muzzle madness.....

I've been into Gary Numan since 79. Yes I drifted away after Outland but by eck was I shocked when I heard R.I.P on Kerrange at the club I used to work in. Never looked back since. It's about time Gary was recognised for the genius he is. Thank you guys for doing these videos. Well done and keep up the good work. Ps Just pre ordered Intruder can't wait 😁

Great Numan run through guys. Loved these. I welcomed all Numan’s undulations. Some are pretty dismal. That Emotion video era were desperately flawed. But he pushed it all aside and progressed. I played it all, right through his career. Even Machine and soul had chunks of doleful listening for me. I love Dead Son Rising album. The track on Sacrifice Bleed. Savage and splinter are layered in precise technologies and are flawless live. I wonder what future posterity will say about his variant when we are all long gone? He is a one off unique musician. your insight and recommendations to check out at the end of these are a real bonus. Thank you.🙏

Hi guys, another great show well done, i am not a great fan of Gary Numan, but i do appreciate his contribution to electronic music. Looking forward to the next episode.

That album track Summer Games by The Micronaut, the sound is kind of a cool primitive, reminds me of the old Commodore 64 Summer Games!

Great episode! I've seen that Amoeba records interview before and was excited to see how DM influenced him. I've heard bits from later albums, will have to listen to more. I'll also check out the artists in Hot Stuff, you know I'm always looking for something new to listen to and love your recommendations. ❤️

Thank you gents! This content is so well-timed as I have made it a point to deep dive into Numan lately. Great commentary and review info. Thanks!!! Someday I'd love to provide a review as soon as I can consider myself qualified.

Numan did what many artists did and tried to please the many when in reality he was moving further away from where he came from. I am not a big fan of him but can see the part in played in helping to change music direction from punk to a more progressive style of sound.
