Not only is this a first time reaction to ANGINE DE POITRINE and the track ‘YOR ZARAD’.. I delve a little deeper into the background behind this marvellously talented duo, and we get a front row, close up view, of the art of ‘live looping’.. bloody mind-warping stuff!!

I grew up a rock/metal fan in the 1980s, and haven't listened to any new releases since around the early 90's.. so I have a lot of catching up to do.

Watch his feet right before he changes the riff and the crowd starts dancing. He hits 2 pedals simultaneously. Mad skills

Khn is absolutely sick on all the work he is doing up there!

These aliens really are time-travellers! Khn's looping skills means that he can play in the past, present and future simultaneously. They've come to share their musical enlightenment with us Earthings! ✋️🔺️🤚

Saguenay: 250 km north of Québec City. Long winters, awesome music.

This guy has more musical talent in His right foot than I have un m'y whole body

@AndyL-b1o 4 months ago

If you notice the guitarist dips his body before any major changes. They can't use facial expressions or even nods to communicate and so he has to dip.

Do not apologize for trying to speak french. Its not bad at all, from a french canadian! 👌

He creates 4 guitar parts and 2 bass parts as he goes. Think of it as playing with yourself. No not that way, playing along with yourself. So it is not inconceivable that he knows the parts he has already looped and the next parts that go on top of it. Additive looping in real time.

This guitarist's complete focus and concentration unbriken for this period of time is totally awesome.

Take a look at Voivod (metal band) they are from Saguenay too. They must know each other.

Khn plays 3 instruments simultaneously: a microtonal guitar, a microtonal base, and some sort of spaceship cockpit with his feet. He has completely redefined how far live looping can be taken if your toes and feet reach an athletic precision similar to most people's hands and toes.

The pyramid on Khn's head isn't a hat. It's his skull and it's full of brain.

"ghost looping" isn't unlike a DJ queuing up a track that the audience can't hear. then bringing it in later.

Wow, these "aliens" are so phenomenal! I can't stop listening to them! Thank you so much for your review - Merci beaucoup de Montréal, Québec

6:40 A gentleman from Quebec was rather successful late last century bringing this style of blended traditional local music from the area to the masses via a little Irish band and the album he produced for them called The Joshua Tree.

Like dolphins, these aliens have 2 brains and can focus on multiple things at once, flawlessly. Yow!

Months now for most of us. But years for the two guys producing this brilliant music

No rockstar adulation. Just love of the concept, the art and the talent these two bring to the stage.
An amazing rebuke to modern day music. Love it or hate it, they deserve all the praise.
