He's the reason why these kids are here today. You don't have Tennessee without Gen Neyland

It is obvious that a lot of thought and creative work went into the design in this tribute uniforms for Tennessee football. Unique features and attention to the details of the General Neyland history have lead to a very special tribute. At first look the Neyland tribute uniform looks to be a strange departure from tradition, but on detailed inspection so many elements horning the tenure of General Neyland are incorporated into this design that it is truly a modern take on an historic era at the University of Tennessee. With this detailed video, I know can fully appreciate these legacy uniforms. Most importantly, the Volunteers won the game the players wore the General Neyland uniforms in, and is just the way the General would have wanted it. GO BIG ORANGE!

I think the outfit is awesome but I think the tan or Orange pants would have been better than the cream. Still awesome to see though! Well done!

I think gray pants would look better but it’s all good. I like it. Heupel rocking a fedora would be cool. At the very least wear the black old school logo baseball hat from General Neyland got from the baseball team in 1951.

Now coach Heupel, don't embarrass General Neyland this Saturday.

My father is a 100 year old WWII vet, UT class of 1950, when The Great One was still coaching.
The General OWNED Bear Bryant, who was coaching some very good Kentucky football teams in those days. The Bear was overjoyed when Neyland, whom the Bear called "The Old Man," announced his retirement, so much so that Bryant threw a celebration party!
Years later, when the Bear had become a living legend at Bama, the Bear admitted that he learned everything he knew about coaching football the hard way, by playing and losing to Neyland's Vols.
