Today we’re taking on a massive pantry project here on our Alaska homestead! After years of canning, preserving, gardening, hunting, and building up our food storage, we’ve learned a lot about what actually works for our family — and what doesn’t.

So today, we’re changing things.

We’re rearranging our main pantry, building better systems for our long-term food storage, moving things into the basement pantry, and making room for more variety as we head into another Alaska winter. I’ll also take you into the garden for a fresh harvest and, of course, we’re ending the day in the kitchen with dinner straight from the homestead.

This isn’t just about making the pantry look pretty. It’s about creating a food-storage system that actually works for the way we live, cook, preserve, and feed our family.

And somehow… we actually get the whole thing DONE!
