Dump it in, walk away, and let six o'clock take care of itself. In this video you'll get 10 dump-and-go Crock-Pot dinners made for seniors: falling-apart pot roast, creamy potato soup, even lasagna — real meat-and-potatoes suppers with hardly a minute of standing. The fastest one needs about seven minutes of your hands, and the slow cooker does the rest of the day. Most of these make several dinners, so tuck the extra into single-portion containers for the freezer.

🍲 FULL RECIPES (as made in the video — most cover several dinners, freeze the extra in single portions):

1. MISSISSIPPI POT ROAST
3 lb chuck roast • 1 packet ranch dressing mix • 1 packet au jus gravy mix • ½ stick butter on top • 5-6 pepperoncini. LOW 8 hours.
👉 Secret: NOT A DROP of water — the roast makes its own gravy. Shred with two forks, serve over mashed potatoes or on a soft roll.

2. WHITE CHICKEN CHILI
5-6 chicken thighs (~1½ lb) • 2 cans white beans, drained • 1 small can chopped green chiles (mild) • 2 cups chicken broth • 1 tsp cumin • ½ tsp garlic powder. LOW 6 hours, shred.
👉 Secret: 4 oz cream cheese in cubes for the LAST 30 minutes only — added early it breaks, added late it melts silky.

3. OLD-FASHIONED POT ROAST
3 potatoes in big chunks • 2-3 carrots in thick coins • ½ onion — on the BOTTOM • 3 lb chuck roast on top • 1 cup beef broth • pinch of thyme. LOW 8-9 hours.
👉 Secret: vegetables down, meat up — down there they cook in the drippings. Browning the roast first is worth it, and skippable with a clear conscience.

4. CREAMY POTATO SOUP
6 potatoes, diced • 1 onion, chopped • 4 cups chicken broth • pepper. LOW 6-7 hours. Mash HALF right in the pot, then stir in 1 cup cream (or whole milk) + 1 cup shredded cheddar, 10 min with the lid on.
👉 Secret: dairy only AFTER the mashing, at the very end. Crumbled bacon on top if you have it.

5. SLOW COOKER LASAGNA
1 lb ground beef, browned, stirred into 2 FULL jars marinara • dry lasagna noodles, broken by hand • 15 oz ricotta • 2 cups mozzarella. Layer: sauce, noodles, cheeses — about 3 rounds, end with sauce & mozzarella. LOW 4 HOURS, not 8!
👉 Secret: any dry pasta corner gets tucked under the sauce like a blanket. Rest 10 min before serving.

6. SMOTHERED PORK CHOPS
4 SHOULDER or BLADE chops (never lean loin — it turns tough) • 1 whole onion in rings • 1 can cream of mushroom soup + ½ can milk + pepper. LOW 6 hours.
👉 Secret: the marbling in shoulder chops is exactly what melts into tenderness. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.

7. CHICKEN & GRAVY OVER MASHED POTATOES
5-6 chicken thighs • 2 packets chicken gravy mix + 2 cups water • pinch garlic powder. LOW 6 hours, shred in the gravy.
👉 Secret: one spoonful of sour cream at the end makes packet gravy taste homemade. Thighs shred soft where breast goes stringy.

8. SWEET & TANGY MEATBALLS
26-oz bag fully cooked FROZEN meatballs (don't thaw!) • 1 cup grape jelly • 1 cup barbecue sauce. LOW 3 hours, one stir.
👉 Secret: sounds odd, works every time — the jelly melts into a thick glossy glaze. Serve over buttered egg noodles or rice for a full supper.

9. OLD-FASHIONED BEEF STEW
2 lb chuck roast in cubes, tossed in 3 tbsp flour FIRST • 3 carrots • 3 potatoes • 1 onion • 3 cups beef broth • 1 spoonful tomato paste • thyme. LOW 8 hours.
👉 Secret: flouring the raw beef thickens the gravy all day — no lumps, no last-minute fixes.

10. SLOW COOKER APPLE CRISP
5-6 apples, sliced, tossed with 2 spoonfuls sugar + 1 tsp cinnamon • topping: 1 cup oats + ½ cup flour + ½ cup brown sugar + 1 stick melted butter. LOW ~3 hours.
👉 Secret: for the last hour, prop the lid open a crack on a wooden spoon handle — the steam escapes and the topping stays crisp. Vanilla ice cream on top.
