Hey Dustin, you're moving up in the world! 😉🙂 You landed a new release camera to review on release date. Well done! 👍

I have an RX10IV as my main camera, I never imagined they would make a follow up!

Just want to point out that the click feature for the aperture ring was already present on the RX10IV.
It also seems like they removed the pop up flash..

Give back my HFR mode. Without it this cannot replace my RX10IV. I was sure I am going to buy it. And the precapture! This is not a budget model. It deserves this feature! This is a deal-breaker!

I have been waiting for this, was going to order one. But then started getting notices that they are having problem with some of the cameras having an issue focusing at the longest ranges ? So I am holding off, for now.

Have been using this camera for a couple of weeks. In low light, I find setting the iso to 400 and using a fill-in flash produces pleasing results. There are so many flashes that work but one that’s elevated fills the entire frame with light. A short flash can have it’s light blocked by the lens and the lens hood, producing a shadow.

I have two M4's - one as a backup because I never thought there would be a M5. ;-)

Best walk around camera for me ever. Head and shoulders above the competition. I also carry a Nishi Close up lens that easily fits in my back pocket. With that attached I can get to 8" focus distance at 600mm and about 0.8 magnification factor (FF equivalent).

Noise at higher ISO's is easily controlled by DXO Photolab noise reduction software. I can shoot ISO6400 and DXO will make the image look like ISO100.

Thank you for the video and communicating the good and bad of this camera. Many other reviewers are just glossing over and saying this is the best travel camera. Much appreciate your honest feedback, and providing the reasons why you have been calling things as they are.

I couldn’t see myself taking this anywhere but vacation or shooting the grandkids. Nothing real serious. Great review.

Great video and review. Thank you. I'll have to replace my Lumix FZ 2000 with this Sony. 😉

I have the previous iteration still in mint condition and use it on my trips to Disneyworld (Florida local) or places I don’t need print quality shots.
