Great review Dave. Loving the fell shed. 👌🏼

The Fellshed! I love it! So organised. I wish my husband had a Fellshed, he just has a messy garage😂

Fantastic stove . I've had mine for about four months now . Works great. Very quick boil and light and compacted.

@adampeach2047 2 days ago

That flame! 😂 not a bad looking system but a little fiddly for me, I use an X-boil with a puck stove, super light, great at blocking the wind and boils pretty quick unless it’s freezing, I think you’d like… good look with the Nepal trip, epic stuff 👍

The Trail Designs Caldera Cone stove is still hard to beat combined with titanium mug of choice.

I use a Phantom stove. I fit a windshield, a lighter, a piece of welding mat, a spare steel and a bottle of fuel all in a titanium beaker. The flame on that thing is frightening 😀

Like the new shed and sleek little windows in it.have you ever done a video of your camper van,what kind is it.that tent reminds me of my budget mountain cattle hot tent.👍

Good to see something slightly different. They must be busy handing these out as I’m seeing them being tested/used a lot.
Not for me personally as I have a Clikstand Ti (they seem to be difficult to get now unfortunately) and I would much rather use that if I was going to use alcohol.
I used an Evernew DX for while which behaved in a similar fashion but I don’t anymore, wild flame and dangerous in my opinion.
EDIT; Sadly it seems Clikstand has ceased trading. It was the Trangia triangle plus and I believe was the original triangle, unique as it had a windshield.

😃Nice kit and video. I have the Goshawk Era burner which is very similar in design...just no mesh ring. Also have the add-on kit for the Goshawk with a pot stand, simmer ring and snuffer. If the Ridgesong is 75mm diameter or below, that would fit inside the Goshawk stand 😃

You just need to pour fuel through the diffuser when you add it and then light the diffuser and the flame catches the fuel below. You actually did that in the shed and it lit very easily. It's a great stove but a little wild to use in a tent I find

Always interesting to see different alcohol stoves but Speedster always for me. Worldwide, high altitude use as long as some form of alcohol available (Always found last resort in a local Pharmacy)..My best long term, Ultralightweight travel mate. Love ❤your Gearshed🥳🥳 Dave. Nepal trip soon??? Cheers, llama_ladee_anny:hand-pink-waving:

Looks a smart product but can't really see how I would justify the investment. If I want to be lightweight the Featherlight 700 is cheaper, lighter, spill proof and more efficient. If I want to do proper cooking, the Trangia 27 isn't much heavier but way more versatile

Nice new shed Dave, the “Fell-Cave” I’m really not a fan of this stove for camping, it’s just too dangerous, no flame control, can’t even blow it out safely and it stays hot for ages, maybe alright for day hiking but it shouldn’t be anywhere near a tent imo….the Xboil or featherlite 700 are great inside a tent as they’re easy to snuff out with a single ‘blow’ of air….
Anyway I’ve been out enjoying my Varde 2 in the lakes….geez that tent is a beast!
All the best Dave

@MrPurplepirate77 2 days ago

Nice Video Dave, couldn’t see where you stored the tents in the new shed😂. There are a lot of alcohol stoves, but really can’t see any of them bearing a Trangia. With a Trangia you can snuff it easily. You can adjust the burn. You can keep unburnt fuel in the stove. Yes it doesn’t stack into itself, but you can easily find Ti pots to build your own. I am not a gram counter because I can always go to the gym more often and loose a kilo or two. I also worry about safety in a vestibule, gas seems a lot safer.

@Rachel-f7v9r 2 days ago

The design seems quite similar to the Goshawk Era alcohol stove. Weight, wind resistance, and safety considered, it may still be that ultralight alcohol stove systems are more practical.

What make is your yellow camp chair?

The stove looks like a rip off of the Goshawk ERA burner - the ERA burner is awesome, like a jet engine, but again no way of putting it out. The best alcohol stove I’ve found is the Goshawk Swirling flame stove and wind shield. That has a lid so easy to put out and you can obviously have fuel in it ready to go. I like to take a small chopping board with me on trips, gives the stove a stable base, you defo don’t want one tipping over, and somewhere to put my drinks so they won’t tip over. A chopping board takes up no room so defo worth taking. I’m sold on biofuel, cheaper, less fuss, quiet, and in some scenarios, works in super old temps and much lighter 👌👍

I have two complaints about most a alcohol stoves and well most stoves in general. Most do not have any way to stabilize the stove properly and they end up being the leaning tower of Pisa congloberation with a heavy weight on top.
Next they allow the pot or pan to be too close and doesn't allow a clean burn wasting fuel.
That stove has the diffuser and appears to try and solve the issue.
What i have found that works is a small grill top being held up with 4 tent stakes pushed into the ground. A bit of tin foil "not aluminum" wrapped around 2 or 3 sides of the tent stakes with my stove under it.
Now with that stove i would add 3 stakes to hold it.

Love the Fell shed, but no, not a fan of the stove system Im afraid... Im still using stripey guys set up, occasionally add a duplicate unit if Im using a frying pan but thats all I need. That flame looks lethal Dave!
