Truth Amongst the Cakes of Furina

I believe in the power of old man yaoi

Dottore Lizard is the third of the 3 deadly selves .avi

16:24 - This reminds me of the Khaenrian doctor that served under Capitano.  The guy was ruthless and callous (and tried killing Ororon), but the reconstructed version in the Night Kingdom was a noble medic, which was how the Natlanteans remembered him.

The way to make Dottore more "palatable" is actually very simple, we just have to revive him as the 8 years old segment and smack him in the head every time he start to think about doing some crazy shit 🤣

8:01 Rooz: 🎶And I'm free... freeballin' 🎶🤣🤣🤣

Im surprised there was no mention of Dotorre wanting to make a world within a world, needing to stall for time to do it right then and there, and Pantalone asking for a pocket world outside his office, presumably the one back in Shneznaya. That seems like an immediately relevant thing to speculate about but nobody seems interested. What if Dotorre was able to make that at least with the time he had, and thats where the pyro gnosis ended up?

Not me elbows deep in soapy dishwater yelling “xilonen story quest” at my phone 😂 it’s basically a case study in fusing other people’s memories about a dead girl onto the soul of another person.

When you mentioned the Inteyvat flower being used as a base, I thought of the 3 Anomalous Tree Marrow. They are so suspicious I feel Dottore left them on purpose to persevere important things about him. Perfect materials for whoever can do the memories experiment later on

First Roosevelt video without a Kaeya mention 😮

Time to watch this before going to sleep and waking up to play the new version

Ngl, a version of Dottore who is less maniacal but retains all his memories and raw curiosity would be really interesting to see—just for the implications of having a "you" that existed before, and how much that shapes the new "you."

Maybe this Dottore OC views his past self with admiration and wants to follow in his footsteps, or maybe he wants to distance himself and prove he’s better.

2:50 IM GLAD IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO CLOCKED THIS? The most powerful polycule of today (Alhaitham x Kaveh x Tighnari x Cyno) vs the most powerful polycule of all time (Thoth x Heryshaf x Sobek)

I just want my 'Future Old Man Yaoi' to get their happy ending as Columbina and Sandrone Yuri got theirs 😓

4:39 i dont think it was just "sheer will" that let him do this, it was brought up while talking with Pantalone that what he did in Nod Krai got him information he needed. I think that him saying that he was able to accomplish this by sheer will is in reference to ALL of it, all of his life that led to this only happened bc of his determination to never stop experimenting and exploring new possibilities.

11:25 those little nodkrai geckos dottore performed his concious swapping experiments on do make me wonder about all those damned blue horned lizards that were showing up during this archon quest and also show up near the bsae of the now-burnt corrupt irminsul tree.

16:45 you don't know how much you made us all want him more with these words 😂

i would love a dottore flavoured character, cause even if it was not dottore but a whole as new character pernonality wise , wouldn't it be still a win for the actual dottore if it was achieved ?? it would, so yeah, think of it as a legacy of his rather then a ao3 ooc lmao

My favourite character in the entire Archon quest has to be Thoth and the gang.

As soon as I read that dialogue about recreating someone through memories and base materials I kept racking my brain - didn’t something else like this already happen? And while the very punctual analogy with the Loom of fate completely escaped me, the first thing that came to mind was Jakob’s log where he records his desperate attempts to restore Rene. Now, it wasn’t quite exactly the same situation as some base material was still available, but he still had to bind his (and Lyris') remains to Cater’s and, most interestingly, to Alain’s pocket watch (and the memories it holds). Now, I don’t really want to make everything about Narzissenkreuz, but the game itself lately surely looks like it REALLY wants me to, so maybe just like what came out of Jakob’s attempt ended up “never changing his name back to Rene” (since it was him, but also not really), I did consider that maybe the same could end up happening to Zandik as well. It’s really funny because back in 2022 I’ve started playing this game specifically because I somehow came across Genshin’s manga and I ended up fixating real bad on Dottore (and I still am to this day)(of all the version he has, the freaky pink bowtie wearing pointy teethed maniac is the one who did it for me), but at the same time his whole ordeal in Purana was so satisfying that I don’t particularly feel the need to have him playable in the future.
… this is not to say that part of me still hopes to see more of him, and maybe this whole “restoration” plot could definitely end up being the way for him to keep haunting the narrative. I won’t dwell on the lizard theory™ and such, but I do feel like they’ve purposely kept SOME doors slightly ajar, so that maybe in the future they can indeed come up with a Zandik-not-Zandik with all of the audacity and none of the crimes. That, or Pantalone will keep pretending to be dark Baizhu and his playable design will include a different species of sassy reptile perched on his shoulders!
