The fact that Screw-On Head didn't get picked up should have been a red flag that we were living in the worst timeline.

The "Screw-On Head" pilot is the only piece of media I've seen that adapted Mignola's work PROPERLY. The Hellboy movies, animations, games, and the fact that no one picked up Screw-On Head as a series, are all perfect examples of why, if you've created something, you need to keep it the f**k away from corporate.

"last words before I spark it?"
This pilot has so many great lines in it

Its astonishing how much garbage and slop gets produced and picked up but gems like this never get picked up😢

This is a great look at the production of this excellent short, but it is very INCOMPLETE. Chris "neglected to mention that the animation for this short was not done at Titmouse. Titmouse did the design and preproduction, but the heavy lifting of actually animating this short was done in Seoul, Korea at studio, "Circusdome", which was owned and run by the talented animator, designer, director Young ki Yoon. His small team killed themselves with long hours of very difficult work to actually animated Mike's brilliant style. I was fortunate enough to be in Seoul when they were working on and could watch them toiling away. So let's have some credit where credit is DUE. Anyhow kudos to Titmouse and Circusdome for this amazing work and effort.

Such a shame we never got six seasons and a movie of this

If you view it as a short movie and not a failed pilot, the pain feels slightly better 😢

Funnier and weirder in some ways than the comic and in the best ways possible.  Such a shame it didn't get picked up as a series.  I would have enjoyed seeing where they were going with this.

The minute i saw the scew on head pilot i fell in love, the fact that it was never picked up is absolutely baffling to me. Everything about it is so fun and absurd in the best way!

it's sooo good being able to see this pilot in 1080p so we can see all the details much more clearly

I want Mike Mignolaverse tv series like THIS, Hellboy, Lobster, B.P.R.D, Baltimore, Grim Death and just anything! Give me all of it!❤️

I've returned back to this pilot more than once these past couple of weeks and the fact that this wasn't picked up is such a shame. It was so unique and interesting!!

I've seen that pilot many times now, I love the overall vibe! The voices are perfect.

I watched tASOH when SciFi showed it online for the poll as a kid. I shared it with anyone who would listen and most people didn’t get it. I had one person tell me that I overhyped it for them (we are no longer friends😂).  I bought the DVD when it eventually came about. Absolutely adore this! Thank you

Fantastic! I still daydream about an ongoing Screw-On Head series but something about it being one-and-done like the comic itself makes it perfect.

Here a year later after seeing the 1+ hour piece made on Mike Mignola where I saw a piece of this pilot. What an amazing adaptation. I would love to see more of Mignola's work made in this form. I've played every Hellboy video game, watched the movies and this form would be the perfect way to enjoy the short stories that are present in this ever-growing universe. Great job; I hope we can see more in the future, fingers crossed 🤞🏽

I didn't think that Mignola's work lent itself to comedy. It's turns out, got the very first time, I was wrong. I forgive you, Screw-On Head.

Can we run this on a fundraising site?  Passion projects like this have enough interest to bring hidden gems and missed opportunities  to life again. So many 'before their time' things... such a shame to leave them buried.

Learned about this pilot last year and the wish of it continuing either in animated or comic form has been living rent free in my head ever since. It's just such a great balance oof style, humor, action and the absurd.

I first saw Screw-on head as a kid in a hospital bed. It was on tv late at night, and I thought it was a fever dream for years. I was over the moon when I saw it in a comics shop years later.
