They had to TEAR APART our BRAND NEW kitchen…

Our brand-new kitchen had to be TORN APART… all because of a few cabinet issues. 😩 RYZE is now at your local Publix- find it in the coffee aisle and let me know which blend you're trying first!

Today I’m bringing you along for our new-build home warranty repairs, and this turned into a much bigger process than I was prepared for.

We’re getting several warranty issues fixed around the house, but the kitchen is the part that really overwhelmed me. Because of where the cabinet issues were, they had to take apart our built-in kitchen cabinets and remove all of our beautiful KitchenAid appliances to access what needed fixing. Seeing our BRAND-NEW kitchen come apart like that?! A lot to process. 🫠

I’m sharing the behind-the-scenes chaos, the cabinet repairs, and the very real stress of getting things corrected in a new home. Of course I want everything fixed properly, but whew… watching the process is another story.

If you’re going through new-construction warranty repairs, dealing with cabinet issues, or just wondering what happens after you move into a brand-new house, come hang out with me for this honest home update.

Have you ever had a “small” home repair turn into a HUGE project? Please tell me your story in the comments because I need to know I’m not alone. 😂👇

You and Brian are so calm I would definitely be under sedation during this process 😳

You have every right and reason to take advantage of your warranty. After that year, everything is on you and very, very expensive. Good on you guys!

I totally agree, get it all repaired and fixed now while you're covered! Glad it's all done. Hopefully you're having a better week now. ❤

You know this makes me so mad. There is absolutely no pride or quality control in any workmanship anymore. I've been watching tours lately of houses built in the late 1800s & 1900s. You know the Victorian or gingerbread type. With all the beautiful woodwork & craftsmanship. They are solid & no wonder they are still standing. When we buy a house as ordinary people, it's like come on, do you really know what taking on this expense means to us, especially you young families. Hell yes we want perfection, it's costing our life savings. So you go Katie girl. Make them get it right.

Definitely get all the warranty’s done!! You won’t regret it 😅

This was very overwhelming to watch! specially the cabinet part but I’m glad they did not need to remove the whole cabinet just for that one cracked piece you had me sweating lady! 😅

A very smart move to get everything fixed before your warranty expires. This is your home and you should not be stressed.

Does the person that read the meter, ( for the moisture in the walll and floor). work for the builder? Just my opinion I would have my whole house checked for mold. You realize since you have moved in , the family has been sick often. I have watched you / family for a long time and I noticed it after you moved in. I almost mentioned it before and decided not to scare you. So I'm glad this came up so please don't let this slide on getting your own person not associated with the builder and check everywhere for moisture in the walls that will lead to mold, if it's not already there . We all want your family to be happy and healthy. Just investigate the warranties you have on your dream home and get them done as soon as possible
Between you and hubby, I know you can get it handled.Go through papers.
Check around windows, door s, all walls, ceilings, under the floors, closets, and garage. Look for cracks in the walls ceilings foundation and driveway. Okay, I probably sound a bit over with these things I am saying but we enjoy you and your's and only want good things in life for you. If possible get a second opinion, so your not stuck with something you can't live in or sale. Health, peace and love❤

THANKS KATIE ❣️ What a disaster. I feel so back that you were stressed out and poor little Brynn got cut. But it's best to take advantage of that warranty. Y'all did the right thing and what's best for your family.

It's great that you have the warranty and are utilizing it but what I find so frustrating is that - at least in some of what you experienced - if things had been done correctly in the beginning they would not have been an issue. No matter what a company says, once things are contracted out it can be very difficult to find skilled, reliable, conscientious workers who do the right thing.

They don’t build ‘em like they used to!

@joannefreidly4109 14 hours ago (edited)

Won’t mention the national builder by name, but I know who they are from a previous video. In my area in PA they do not not have a good reputation for quality construction. What happened with the nail pop by the double oven is fully workmanship, but the piece breaking below your oven is unacceptable. I would question the quality of your cabinetry and the overall installation. They cannot tear out the backsplash and countertops without breaking. We have a construction company and built hundreds of homes. Mold is probably a plumbing leak in the wall.

That’s what warranty’s are for ❤❤perfect as possible . 😊Glad you are getting it done ✅

I agree with you!! Fix it for sure!! You are paying for Quality for the next 30 years, say, we all know how those little things can separate and get much worse and then you are STUCK!! Doing all this work on your own 💰💰💰. I know it will be hard on you both, with the kids and all, but Do it!! You both have worked so hard and so long to get the house of your DREAMS ♥️. Praying for you both 🙏🙏♥️♥️

The door with the gap may no longer have a gap but that is the fastest grab whatever spare wood we have and nail it together job I've ever seen !!!!!! It needs a new saddle (same wood same color but hugher w/ a weather strip !!!! Aesthetically I don't know how you of all people could be happy with that mess. Two pieces of opposite types of wood (from each other and original saddle ) not sanded, not painted and just nailed on ??!! No,m'am
