can't even break into a warehouse without getting devoured by human made horrors beyond my comprehension, literally 1984

1984 was a wild year for analog horror.

The fact of the animatronic being real is cool, but then the reveal of chimpy’s spirit being transferred by direct eye contact makes it a million times scarier

This whole thing in a nutshell

Commercial Narrator: This animatronic looks creepy! I would never take my daughter here!

Chimpy Chippa: And I took that personally.

I like how Chimpy's design looks the most realistic out of all animatronics I have seen in tapes/games. The story is really creative and shakes up the animatronic formula a bit.

Rose's VA is so good at her role it's actually legitimately terrifying

It’s a shame the green stuff is so goofy. The rest is genuinely horrifying.

As a small child, I was absolutely terrified of the monkey from Toy Story 3, so these tapes and videos make me uneasy in a way I can't even really describe. I'm not mortified when I see the monkey or these chimp characters, but I still do not like how they stare at you.

I feel like the series got a bit goofy after the whole green spirit things going into the animatronic's eyes, but the first part with the spirits and people being trapepd inside of the animatronic really did resonate with me, as a child I had a horrible dream that was very similair, but with a Russian doll.

I love how this series is actually doing something pretty new. It gives a feeling of this thing being haunted even before it took so many lives. It's almost like it's an eldritch being rather than a lost soul, and that's something I can really get behind.

i love how it's not exclusively analog/found footage and also incorporates really sick live action bits, the execution of the story is very unique and diverse which you can't really say about many other analog horror series rn

The animatronic looks so small compared to a person so when it mentioned that it just straight up ate a man, I got shivers. Just imagine that, in a second, this thing just managed to brutally shove a human down its throat. Eugh.

its weird how my first exposure to this series was when dawko covered the game, mentioned the tapes, and now im watching someone cover the tapes. i dont mind though, i kinda like it

Tape #3 is absolutely terrifying, just it moving slowly and hearing the cop scream is just that level of uncanny is what makes this series terrifying.

i love how silly the restaurants names are in these tapes, next video's name is 'The Disturbing Videos of the Slinky Blorbo Tapes'.

this is actually a really cool story, but imo the random cuts to the guy filming the burning restaurant and some other strange moments (like chimpy corrupting the cctv footage but not the officers bodycam?) really broke the immersion for me, but its still an insanely cool concept, and i LOVE that they actually built the animatronic irl.

that woman's scream was incredibly haunting dear god (it's very very well made)

15:09 this might be a little insensitive of me but it’s analog horror, it’s kinda ironic how they say that and the incident happened at the same place
