Housing construction prospects were discussed today at the Independence Palace. In the coming years, the emphasis will be on rental housing linked to jobs. This allows us to address two issues simultaneously: housing and personnel.
The President frequently declares such approaches. But there are some challenges. Addressing them was discussed with the Government.
Rental housing is partially underutilized in some places, while in others it is in short supply. Demand should generate supply, not mandated targets.
The issue of rental rates also logically arises – they are far from market values. The state does not intend to deviate from this principle, and yet, in new comfortable buildings, the Government proposes to revise the rates.
