THANK YOU!!!! THANK YOU!!!!! Ann Lowe is my favorite. When I was in designing school I did a report on Ann Lowe and I got a copy of an article from Ebony Magazine, LOVE IT!!!! Macy's down the street from my school had a paper dress of Ann Lowe Jacqueline Kennedy's wedding dress!!! It was BEAUTIFUL!!!! I wanted to touch the paper dress, but the security guard gave me the "LOOK" of not 🚫 to touch the dress. I also went to the Field Museum to see more beautiful garments that Jacqueline Kennedy owned. That lack of recognition over the wedding was purposeful. America continues to ignore or gloss over the contributions of its black citizens and other people of color. Back then, and now, you don’t exist for some people if you are not whyte. The recognition she got was a miracle.

Thank you for bringing this talented woman’s beautiful designs to light. My mom was a seamstress but not to this caliber. Jacqueline Kennedy’s wedding gown was beyond beautiful.
Ann‘s designs feel cutting edge and before her time, and her ability to move beyond such hardships that would ruin most people is inspiring.

Creatives brains don’t see numbers the way we see other stuff…poor Yve and Ann Lowe is an example of “Just Keep Swimming”….i love her and all her work.
