Great upload remember this series it on I think Monday nights on BBC 2
Thank you

I enjoyed the episode, thank you for uploading the series. 🥰

I must have missed this when I was a teen - lovely to catch up with TV from my youth when I was climbing trees and social media hadn’t brainwashed us all. Thanks for uploading.

Groovy theme tune. 😊

Thanks for uploading these. I would imagine Network would have obtained the rights to release this, if they hadn't gone broke.

Excellent! And real musicians playing the soundtrack. None of that low-budget synthetic high-speed drill crap that passed for music in the 80's.

Originally called the enema files because they were files that were blocked and they were able to break them free , but that was unpopular so they changed it to the enigma files😂

What a great find to see this. Wasn't aware of it back in the day but it's wonderful to watch now.

Tom Adams I remember from playing Daniel Fogarty in The Onedin Line and it must have been one of Sharon Maughans first TV roles.

I'll be working my way through these so thanks ❤

Fantastic uploads - definitely a rarity, and in excellent quality. Thank you!

Missed this originally. Ep 1 is a bit of a misfire, isn’t it! The dialogue is unexpectedly stilted. I’ll persevere tho, maybe it gets better.

This isn't such, as whereafter I sought.  It resembles an American "soap opera", more than an adventurous or mysterious plot.  Maybe also too cerebral?

I found it by searchin "police procedural" on YouTube.

Why is it called 'The Sweeper'?

Some of the closed caption subtitles are funnily erroneous.  Without them I can't understand the overly rapid and slurred speech of the habitually drinkin actors.

Fabulous I watched these at the time and read tne book until it fell apart.
Is there a problem with Ep 7 ?

This proves that the actors spoke with-- and the directors accepted -- bad diction:

Slurred speech of habitualy drinkin actors translated in the subtitles:

detective sergeant honey
sombody's got in there for you (should be "got in before you")
I'm actually going to climb today (I've actually got a client today)
I'll come round tomorrow (well come round tomorrow)
I'll take you for a point (pint)
I'll be picking your brand (brains)
This animal (Hanon) is getting too close
he's got an office down the following
before no my fire well (well you do know my file well)
as I met Sally (yes I met Sally)
Jack Island (Jack Hammond?)
I see you Kate (I'll see you)

Do you have any episodes of Spy Trap starring Tom Adams?

Very good, very likeable actor. Just finished watching his series from 5 years earlier - SPY TRAP. Definitely looks like there is a romance looming here! I just hope he treats her to the correct make of coffee! Shame about the terrible music!

The theme music is styled after bad American TV from the 1970s.  I didn't like American TV from the 70s at the time and I like it a lot less well now.

The music is epic

There's no episode 7 to be found
so it's pointless watching this.
