I made a tool for removing shock bolts when I lowered my bike. I have a set of S shaped box-end wrenches (which I bought for cheap and basically never use) and they're flat, so they work just as well from either side. So I welded a short 1/2" drive socket to the side of the 3/4" wrench about 3" from the end, and I used it with an extension and breaker bar. The breaker bar gives you all the leverage in the world, so stubborn bolts are no problem, and since it doesn't ratchet, it makes it easy to remove and reset the wrench.
Iâm not mechanically inclined, but i do really enjoy these videoâs especially the Bad Boy Springer vids. This is definitely my dream bike. I just love the exposed mechanism that is the springer front end. Im itching to ride again and get back on an HD again. đşđ¸ RIP LEMMY
I made the same sleeves for using wagon wheels on .75" axles! Just made sure it's shorter than the out to out bearing span when compression loaded axle nut fully tightened.
