pipeattack here, you did a hell of a job editing my rambling. you also did a fantastic job on this one. I really hope dolan is doing alright and it's wild to hear about that hellbent stuff. to anybody that cares, i'll be streaming on fishtank live for the street stars segment all this upcoming week. thank you rob.

A pretty odd case of a guy trying his best, never doing anything really wrong, and stuff going bad for him anyways. Sad to see.

@applekhi3962 1 year ago

Honestly Dolan didn't deserve this ngl, he was trying his best and circumstances kinda him screwed over, his channel death was honestly depressing

@RoseChan01 1 year ago

maturing is realizing that you actually had a chance with YouTubers you had a crush on as a kid and how disgusting that actually is

@RottingTaylor 1 year ago

fun fact, Dolan himself went on to work for Glitch Studios, from what i know he's worked/working on TADC

Shima’s disappearance still unnerves me to this day. It’s crazy to imagine how some people could just vanish from the internet like that.

@reyybies 1 year ago

Shout out that homeless guy that stabbed hellbent outside of his bar. Only OGs remember that one

Planet Dolan was honestly one of the greatest channels on youtube. im glad it existed and brought me so much joy as a kid

@Blizz3112 1 year ago

Man, Dolan gotta be the unluckiest guy in the world... He deserved better...

Former writer/editor from Planet Dolan here. The channel allowed me to showcase my writing skills to a large audience, and I have Dolan to thank for that. This was a great video, Rob! Brought back a lot of memories. I miss working for Planet Dolan. Good times.

I did not know Chris Chan, Moistcritikal and Jatloid were Connected to Planet Dolan what the hell

@skittycecil9786 1 year ago

I was the viewer who asked the infamous question, Do Penguins Have Knees? Kind of weird to think that the video answering that question ended up being such a pivotal one in the channel’s history.

As someone who grew up having the fattest crush on Hellbent, it was genuinely heartbreaking to find out how horrible of a pig he turned out to be.

@irrelevantBird 1 year ago

Gotta admire Dolan for how hardworking he is. He's definitely got a real passion for animation, and if he truly is working at Glitch Studios I feel that's the perfect fit for him

@Vivian-Butterscotch 1 year ago

hellbent talking about child predators is... uh, ironic

@mutexgamex4285 1 year ago

In my mind, the moment Shima left, the brand began to decay. With stuff like hellbent just making it worse, and the sudden lore + shima drop kinda escelating it to quickly.
But in context of the dolan brand, im so glad I had it as a kid.

Also that "have a good one" at the end gave me some whiplash. thank you

“thats called foreshadowing” is diabolical 💀

@thyavenger9517 1 year ago

Man, that was… depressing. Especially for the main dude, hope he’s doing well. Apparently he works at Glitch Studios? If that’s true, then that’s fantastic.

I remember going into one of Shima's streams shortly before she dipped - iirc, she had anxiety, or something like it. I specifically remember her talking about how many times she'd have to re-record lines, and how LONG it all took to get a single clean line because of how much she'd stammer and stumble over words - I wouldn't be surprised if her leaving without warning was entirely due to anxiety hitting hard enough with Dolan stuff (all the attention) that her solution was to just ghost them, abandon all her identifiable accounts on various places, and then as time passed it became more and more... impossible, for her, to contact them because of how long it had been since she'd left without saying anything, making her continue to just not speak to them.
I just hope that wherever she is, whatever she's doing, that she's doing well.

The Chris Chan curse is something else, it’s gotten multiple people. Ik Dolan is doing better now but it’s still crazy that the sonichu medallion has affected multiple people lol.
