A lifelong journalist with a passion for the sea, Fabrice Amedeo became a full-time sailor 15 years ago and has participated in the most prestigious ocean races: the Vendée Globe, the Route du Rhum, the Transat Jacques Vabre… Yet, very few of these races went as planned. From external shipwrecks to more internal ones, the accumulation of problems led Fabrice, a staunch atheist, to pray. In the middle of the ocean, panicked, he turned to the Virgin Mary and received an incredible sign from above. An epiphany in the midst of the storm of his life that allowed him to hold firm in the heart of darkness and become a "new man."
