HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND YA BIG DONUT

People have every right to discuss salary. It's a total lie that employers can tell their employees that they can't discuss pay. That girl should sue.

It's illegal in the US to prevent or punish employees from discussing their pay + salaries.

Sketchy businesses shouldn't hire honest people if they want their sketchy secrets to stay secrets 😅🤷🏼‍♀️

6:05 that's so sketchy tho? PLEASE talk to your coworker about salary because sometimes the company pays really unfairly

OKAY BUT STORY ONE ???? people should be allowed to talk about their salaries ALSO AT WORK, and imo people absolutely SHOULD talk about their salaries with each other. Its an important workers tool to discover eventual discrimination or workplace mistreatment

When I was a nursing student the university said to us on the first day that we could get thrown off the course if we dressed up and were caught wearing a nurse outfit on a night out. It’s a serious job because people trust you with their health and dignity.

The medical professional tiktoks have tripled and quadrupled my medical anxieties. Like i already was pretty sure staff had gossiped with each other about me and thats just life. But if i happened to go to the hospital and see the professional who just cared for me making tiktoks about something i did that grossed them out i would simply cease to exist.
Also, theres a good chance people have failed to get proper care for something because they saw tiktoks of nurses mocking people, doctors dancing during surgery, etc

Fun facts in the US you legally allowed to talk about your pay and starting  a Union whenever and with whoever you want. Getting fired for either of these reasons has been the grounds for many a lawsuit.

Thats why it was confidential bc HR knows its illegal to terminate for salary discussion....LAWSUIT

The nurses should absolutely be fired. A warning might stop them from making more TikTok videos, but it won’t change the fact that they thought it’s a good idea to post it in a first place. That means they have no empathy for their patients and it will come up when they’re one on one with them. They just shouldn’t be in healthcare at all.

My 9 year old now greets me with ‘hello you gorgeous donut!’

Firing someone over discussions about salaries is unethical and illegal. The first girl involved, not the IT one, should take her case to the Department of Labour or hire an Employee Advocate.

The last thing someone giving birth should have to worry about is their nurses turning around and posting about them online. I do think they should get fired for that.

Look girl we all dislike Karoline Leavitt but you cannot say that online as a nurse. That is insane

The nurses were recording AT WORK as well which on its own is enough to get fired despite the contents.

I feel like those nurses (from the ick video) should have been fired for that unfortunately.

If I was having a baby and had seen that video then gone to the hospital where they happened to work and saw that they still worked there, I'm not sure I'd ever be able to trust that place enough to go there again.

Not only that, but also seeing that I would be SUPER self-conscious around any medical professionals thinking they were judging me at a time where NO ONE should be judged. Everyone feels weird going to the doctor, and one of the only things that helps (at least for me) is knowing they're professionals who DON'T JUDGE.

This could definitely make some people never want to go to a medical professional again, especially if you're already vulnerable

I wouldn't want any of them nurses, I would avoid the hospitals that they work at.

i fully agree with the girl being fired having an OF while being a medical professional. there are certain professions that need to remain professional at all times.
there cant be any risk of creeps finding her medical job and abusing resources or even harassing her. honestly was probably in her contract that she cant have that type of work associated with her while being employed as a doctor/nurse/etc.

I was a labor delivery nurse. I honestly have to say that I worked with a lot of nasty OB nurses.  I came from Oncology to OB and the compassion for laboring patients was sad
