The problem with rashford is that he got his place back without even working for it. Cunha is better off the left and shows more fight. Rashford needs to be a super sub until he actually earns his place back

I do hate this view that "possession = good football", or that it's some sort of gold standard, that controlling the game is how you're meant to play and you can't be an elite team without that. It's nonsense, it's people getting themselves off to the "Pep" way. We don't need that. Work hard, force them into making mistakes, then capitalise on that with swift, fluid counterattacking.

If we are relying on Belaba we are in more trouble than we think.

De Ligt, Maguire, Amad, Cunha, Rashford, Mainoo, Sesko, Mount, Baleba & Shaw have all been @ OT for this international break - personally, i'd like to see all of them start  (Sesko & De LIgt fitness permitting) and then MBuemo, Bruno & Tielemens can all have a rest before Madrid midweek... But Carrick has had time with the majority of the squad - and that's a bonus i'm hoping he's used well.

People will blame the medical staff and physios but these recurrent injuries and overexertion injuries completely stopped under Amorim. You never heard of a player playing through injury with him.

It's becoming evident that Carrick does not think Santos is good enough and yet if you listen to Tim Vickery Santos is very much the future for Brazil.

A long term Sesko injury would just bring out so much apathy and indifference from me. One of our only exciting players and makes the team so much better. Only him, lammens and Mainoo have give fans something to cling to this season

The honeymoon period from last season feels well and truly OVER!
I think my biggest frustration is the massive drop-off from the highs of the second half of last season. Back then, Carrick could do no wrong! We were winning games, the confidence was flowing, and despite a few dodgy performances towards the end of the season, the results kept coming. We were beginning to believe that we had finally found our man!

Fast-forward to this season, and suddenly things look VERY different! 👀 Carrick’s weaknesses seem to be getting exposed, particularly his in-game management. The substitutions are either too late, the wrong players are coming on, or he’s taking off the wrong players altogether! And then there are the team selections! Rashford continues to start on the left despite producing virtually ZERO end product this season, while Cunha keeps getting played as a number nine or false nine when his best work clearly comes from the left wing. At times, Carrick looks like a deer caught in the headlights, and that’s becoming increasingly concerning. BUT, before anyone thinks I’m blaming everything on the manager, I still believe the problems at this club run much deeper than Carrick alone.

Now, here’s where things can get interesting! If United can think like Sir Alex they would go into the League and Europe and find 3 world class signings to strengthen the squad as starters. I genuinely believe THREE quality signings could transform this team, provided our recruitment team finally gets serious and makes it happen in January! so we can save the season.  *VICTOR OSIMHEN.
