Great guest. Isn't it so awful that a court can rule to mention a victim's background to mitigate the perpetrator's prosecution yet a perpetrator's background is often ruled as inadmissible?! Broken, biased, and corrupt system.

So proud of how this podcast has grown! Let us all be more open minded thinkers/loving humans💛

STUNNING choice of podcast guest! Hearing about Mitch’s values, motivations and experience holding multiple positions in an office that possesses considerable power in our legal system gave us an astronomical number of insights. I believe strongly that hearing about people’s experiences through their own words is crucial to gaining the most thorough understanding of a particular situation.

From someone who’s been watching since about 2015, I’m so proud of y’all. I remember watching Kendall’s first video on JBR and to now see y’all hosting a podcast with a former DA on her case, I’m just so proud 😭 Y’all are some of the only true crime content makers I know that truly care for the victims they cover & genuinely want to make a change. Love y’all so much!!

He speaks so highly about his colleagues, and gives each and every one of them there own story, and gives them the credit they deserve. That speaks volumes about what kind of man he is

Kendall had to be a detective in a past life. She’s so diligent. I won’t consume true crime content from anyone else except her.

I have respect for this person for continuing to advocate for victims and their families. I can gather from this interview that he is passionate, committed and genuinely supportive of his work and what he’s been doing for the community. Thank you for your service and sharing your story with us ❤

That poor little girl 😢 I really hope one day this case is solved 🙏

Thank you Josh and Kendall for sharing such a special guest with us. I thoroughly enjoyed everything Mitch had to share. It brings understanding to the cases I've been a part of in my lifetime.

It's such a privilege to hear from this deeply experienced and professional ex-DA. My experience in participating in investigations of cases of suspected sex assault/abuse of minors was that law enforcement often discounted the "bad victims" - kids, especially teenagers, who don't trust law enforcement, don't believe they will be protected and don't want to cooperate. It's a special person who can intervene in many of these cases to earn the trust of a victim, or to continue to investigate the case regardless of the victim's attitude and "rejection" of help, understanding that it's the by-product of long-term trauma and survival mechanisms.

The best interviewers for me are the ones who get great guests and let them talk, just gently directing the flow of conversation. This was a great, constructive interview and I'm excited that together you can get a lot achieved, especially in your own community, through this connection. Well done 🌹

It's still insane to me how close in history there were no rights for victims of DV. People say oh, divorce rates used to be lower because people stuck it out. That may have been true in some cases, but there were also no rights for DV victims. They had to be afraid to loose their kids if they escaped. Women had to be afraid of having no place to go, no money, no rights to anything. And that still happens. But there's more resources available now than there used to be. I've been on the recieving end only 5 years ago of being dismissed by law enforcement. Victims are still scared and often dismissed. So proud of this man and his associates for helping victims not only of DV, but of other crimes and helping families get closure

Can we have an episode on the little girl we spoke about at the beginning of the episode and finally give her the attention she deserved at the time?

@Cyndidr85 3 years ago

This is the case that I feel is never going to be solved.

the setup, lighting, etc. just looks BEAUTIFUL here. so impressed with and proud of the growth Mile Higher has accomplished. 💚

I love this guest. You can tell how dedicated, genuine, and passionate he is about this. You can’t ask for anything more

It'd be cool if you had Collier Landry (no affiliation with Bryan Landry) on the podcast as a guest. He helped a detective solve his mom's murder when everyone else believed his father. I'd look into the case. Truly brave and courageous boy! So glad that one detective believed him and listened!

Silent viewer here! Have been watching for years!!! I was born and raised in Colorado!! I am currently a senior in college (still in Colorado lol) pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Thank you for educating me and providing light on Denver's justice system. I have learned so much from this video, more than some of my classes in college. Hearing Mitch's pathway, experience, and knowledge was very surreal coming from someone who is literally studying this. I went to Columbine Highschool and have seen certain cases or buidlings that he decribes. When he says certain streets. I know them. It's all very sadly surreal. Watching true crime (and Lightsout) all the time seems to have desensitized me. Watching this video did so much for me. I am so willing to travel and move once I graduate college, that I seem to lack the consideration of helping my own community. Thank you! Love you guys!!
