The prop shop glimpse was sick, need to do a full tour/video of that place

This deserves a Brand Used shirt that says, "In Riley We Trust!"

The neat part about this whole story is that when everyone involved woke up that day they had no idea that any of you would all meet and come together to get this situation resolved for The Southern Girl.  Several people went out of their way on a moments notice to help fix this problem and stayed late in some instances as well just to see it through to being solved.  Kindness is unmeasurable when it comes to cost in a scenario like this.  Be kind, show some grace, and pay it forward because one day you will be the recipient.

I want a whole video of the prop shop. That place looks interesting

5:03 "Getting pissed off is not gonna make it suck any less."

That's real wisdom right there.

Most people aren’t even thinking about setbacks like this when they complain about the price of crabs. Keep truckin Lukester

Man if you could do a video interview and tour of that prop shop that would be awesome.

Worked at a Bethlehem plant for 26 years.  I would stand on a wooden block floor over a concreate floor all day. The fatigue was very noticeable on Concrete over wood blocks.

Miller's island prop shop reconditioned  my stainless props for my mercs back in the day. Always did phenomenal work.

Where would Like be without Riley. Bro seems to be the hero of every video.

End grain pine block floors were done in shops for a couple reasons.
    1. it absorbs water & oil spills
    2. if a machined surface hits the floor, it wont get dented
    3. has the same weight carrying capacity as a dirt or  poured concrete floor
    4. its easy to replace sections if damaged

The prop shop and Riley came though for you. I’ve always been a business owner. You are so fortunate to have formed relationships with people that spring into action when you need them. Being your age and doing what you’re doing is nothing short of determination and good business sense. Having a supportive wife that shares your interests and goes on adventures is also something most guys your age envy. I live in Maryland and have boys your age. My youngest is your age and can’t find a girl that is adventurous. lol I admire your determination and the ideas you have come up with to be more successful. I hope to be able to come to your store sometime. My son just had a Tumor removed from his brain and had a new baby so my plate is full right now. Crabs may not be something I can swing this year. If you need any tile work done maybe we can swap.

A commercial boat without an anchor and chain. I'll be damned.

You helped cure me the idea that I was going to live on a boat....

20:08 if you drop sharp tools on the floor they don't go blunt very fast.

Luke you need a bigger shoe. I grew up commercial Shrimping  in the South Louisiana marsh full of old traps. You really do need a proper wider shoe/stump jumper. It'll save your wheel and shaft plus keeping the traps getting sucked up as easy. Look at any skiff your size around here. Really hope you read this I was a 5th generation Commercial Fisherman before leaving.

I've heard of stories where a tunnel haul (not like ours) got a crab trap wrapped around the prop and a a piece of wire kept rubbing on the haul and cut a line in the tunnel and sank the boat. I've wrapped up a couple over the years but have aways been able to cut them out in the water... Great video bud!!

6:31 You gotta love a dude who's confident in his boat's abilities. He understands the mission.

Industrial buildings historically used end-grain wood block floors (often cut from unseasoned or "green" timber or treated pine blocks) because they offered unmatched durability against heavy machinery and worker fatigue.

I worked for 5 years in an airplane hanger at Edwards AFB, California. We had end grain block flooring throughout all the maintenance areas and various shops.
Fun fact:  During a Friday night  after-work keg party (that was a thing in the Military in the 70’s) we spilled an entire washtub of ice water. By Monday morning there was a two foot high blister on the floor you could walk up on. 😅
