The Neolithic marked the transition from the Mesolithic hunter-gatherer way of life into the more settled agrarian societies that would cultivate crops and domesticate animals. As someone fascinated by Stone Age textiles, I felt it was about time to give myself a Neolithic makeover!!

Rock Gripper sounds like a slur that the metal users would use for the stone tool users

Really appreciated the scholarship behind this.

The discussion of textiles, organic technologies, and the preservation bias of archaeology was especially good ... it changes the picture of Neolithic people from “stone tool users” to people living within a much richer technological world that has mostly vanished. Excellent video.

Well, fashion is circular, it's about time this came back in style

I'm very fond of experimental archeology.
You clearly did a lot of research to try and be as authentic as possible.
No one will ever get this stuff 100% right, but that's not important.
What is important is giving people a relatively accurate idea of the way a person COULD have dressed, using materials and techniques available to them.
I think you did a good job and should be proud of your results.
Maybe those professionals should hire you to help them realize ancient modes of dress.
Perhaps movie people could use (and pay for) your costume ideas as well.

Gurl! You need to get yourself to the Rabbitstick Rendezvous in Idaho every September, an ancestral skills gathering. This year we’re doing a fashion show — “Ancient Clothing, Buckskins to Bronze Age.” It’s all about going deep into context in clothing traditions. Exactly what you’re doing. Excellent!

There is some part of my brain, that i don't necessarily have access to, that thinks this is the coolest outfit i've ever seen. being a human is weird.

We’re in the Stone Age so there’s no mirrors, there’s just … viewfinders. 🤣😂 I love your videos and always look forward to them!

All of this is a STUNNING amount of love and labour. I like that you decorated it, too. And I appreciated the explanation of the different eras

You're looking so happy these days! Its been a couple years since I last stopped by your channel, it's great to see that re-enacting is still making you happy!

Nice leather over-jacket. Also, using your teeth while doing various crafts is absolutely historically accurate.

I love the little decorations. Humans have always been fundamentally the same and I'm sure fashion trends existed. It's too bad textiles degrade so quickly, and we have so little first hand evidence.
