Every version of Leon Kennedy compared! From his debut in Resident Evil 2 to his latest appearance in Resident Evil Requiem, this video looks at the many different portrayals of Leon S. Kennedy across the Resident Evil franchise.

Leon has appeared in video games, animated movies, live-action adaptations, and spin-offs—and almost every version of him is a little different. So how does RE2 Leon compare to the Leon we see in Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 6, Degeneration, Infinite Darkness, Vendetta, Death Island, the live-action Resident Evil movies, and beyond?

In this video, I go through Leon Kennedy's major portrayals and compare how each version looks, acts, and fits into the world of Resident Evil. From his evolution as a character to the wildly different ways Capcom and Hollywood have interpreted him, we're taking a look at every version of one of Resident Evil's most iconic characters. Featuring different portrayals of Leon Kennedy from across the Resident Evil games, animated films, live-action films, and spin-offs.

Which version of Leon Kennedy is the best? Let me know in the comments.

Being attracted to Leon as a dude ain’t even gay, he transcends sex and gender. He’s Leon Kennedy. Jokes/non jokes aside, I agree with ur ranking!

Went from “I’ll have her home by 9” to “You’ll have her home by 9”

As a straight man, I'll finish this video after I put on my white pants.

OG Re4 Leon is definitely my favorite phase/version. He's just so damn entertaining and his crappy jokes balance his nonchlantness nicely imo

11:30 During RE6 and RE9, in Leon's parts, bro, it's impossible to look anywhere else. Capcom knew what they were doing when they stuck that damn axe in his back 😭

After careful consideration and extensive research, I’ve concluded that the best version of Leon Kennedy is… Leon Kennedy. 😂 Except live-action Leon. We don’t talk about that.

Leon is too hot, easily the most attractive video game man I’ve encountered

We got to give all of the Leon VA's, mostly Nick and Matt, some flowers of voicing Leon and how all of them works for not just Leon's in the years, but also what Leon going through after RE2

My gray/demi ace self played the games over the year Leon is cute.
This year I got to requiem "wait Leon is hot"😮

If RE4 remake Leon had a bit more of OG's sass he would easily be my fave version.

Thank you for pointing out the ageism, because oh my god, Requiem Leon is NOT an old man. My parents are in the same age range as Requiem Leon too, and 40-something is NOT old unless you're a teenager or someone in your early 20's.

Leon S Kennedy here and he is not afraid of anything....beside doing the Redfield Bloodline

I agree with this ranking, especially with Damnation Leon. He's so underrated it hurts.

I like Leon, but because he seems to be Capcom's (and a majority of the fanbase's) favorite character he gets over-saturated while characters like Jill or Claire get sidelined. Chris and Leon are the big two RE protagonists over at Capcom. Slot Chris in to RE7, a game that is not about him, and people lose their minds. RE Veronica, Leon fans are calling for him to be in the game.

That said, I would have to say either RE2 Remake or RE Requiem is my favorite.

21:27 How delusional was Anderson to think that people would genuinely care more about his wife's overpowered self-insert than LEON S. KENNEDY? Main character syndrome, I guess 🤦🏻‍♀️

Ada Wong voice "You? Leon S. Kennedy? You haven't changed. You just think you have."

My favorite thing about Damnation Leon is that not only does he face another Mr. X, he faces a Mr XXL and 2 of them at the same time
so when he goes outta ammo, what's he do?
Fck it. Knife Time!
