Jayce, I know of several you tube content providers that experience a fair amount of negative comments. As always I appreciate your content.

What I appreciate is that you give more info than what is on the website. You measured the scale length and nut width. That is specifically what I’m looking for in a review.

I enjoyed your review of the guitars from Kennedy Violins, and almost bought one, but they were sold out!!  I thought your reviews were great.  Thank you for your time doing this.

Martin's 2-27 (ca. 1870) was referred to as a "parlor guitar" long before 00 and 000 terminology and you are correct they were most often played at home or for small audiences. They had slotted headstocks and already incorporated Martin's X-bracing.

Very informative. Those comments gave you content. Awesome way to use it!

Great Video, thanks!

Well Mr. Allan I enjoy your channel. Always a cool hang. Everyone’s an expert and a critic so there’s that.

oh, and thanks for the informative videos.

Had to Google it myself. You review was great! Keep rocking 🤘

Too much fun!

Well, I enjoyed your review and I play acoustic; but then, I'm fairly chill. Sorry for the heat, man. But I'm glad Kennedy Violins sent you that guitar. I'm going to purchase that model "parlor guitar", a Christmas present to myself in a few weeks. Keep up the fantastic work!

Hey man sorry you were getting lit up! ..i always enjoy your stuff but im super laid back and quiet anyway.

Bringing the receipts!

If you get a Savannah 0 , those are great. Regret selling mine.

Thanks, Jayce. I liked your review and the looks of the guitar so much that I subscribed to your channel and ordered one.  Kennedy Violins was quick to follow up by email and I learned that there is so much interest in this guitar right now that it will be shipping out a few days later than usual, which doesn’t bother me.  I was confused too about the parlor- 000 label, but I’m really looking forward to unboxing and playing it. Thanks again.

I really like the way that you research your content.  If anything, the negative comments do provide material for making  a video. It is interesting that most of the people who leave negative comments have few if any subscribers and don't even have an Avatar for their channel and probably don't even play guitar.  Just something that I have observed over the years.

Recently I was in a guitar store with a friend and tried some small body acoustics, which I prefer as I find Dreadnoughts and Jumbos awkward (Although I do own a 12 string dread), my friend called them parlor guitars. But it sounded like an insult.
He didn’t mean it that way, but the way I took it was negative, so I responded that parlor guitar were smaller, and showed him one, but after some discussion I realized it his comment wasn’t an insult, simply a comment.
So I clarified my own view, which included Martin and Gibson nomenclature, so I clarified which size range I liked, and which wasn’t to my liking.
One day I plan to get a concert or smaller orchestra or one of the 0 sized guitar range, but probably larger in that range.
It’s just that the ones I like best are pricey, and the lower priced ones don’t have a tone I like as much, but there are some exceptions on both ends.
So your video kind of rebukes me, but that’s okay.I am figuring it out.
As for pronunciation, I have commented on some non guitar videos, but only if the channel presents themselves as an expert, and an expert should know the difference.
But I just point it out, I try not to be a jerk about it.
Some of those use AI narration, which can be trained phonetically.
But they’re inconsistent.
And after a few videos, I stop watching.
This channel, I will keep watching- whether I agree or not, and even if you mix up hard and
soft Gs.
Now to go play my Jibson. 😂

🤯

It's actually 'bigger snobs about' not 'bigger snobs for' but yes you're right acoustic players are ....discerning snobs, and there are more of us lol

If you could get one of the recent Firefly acoustics that were available for one week this past June you would be reviewing a Chinese made acoustic that puts to shame everything available for under 3K from American makers. The guitars you should be reviewing are Hsienmo Guitars, they are RINGERS, far superior instruments for pennies on the dollar. However, this won't last for long because people will wake up and Hsienmo prices will skyrocket.

Obviously the video was not nerdy enough or incorrectly nerdy. This might be more of a sin.

Being correctly nerdy might alienate the audience.

Communicating to a non classical guitar audience might be the only way people find out about different guitars.
