Try a Bayard Blain parlour. I had him make me a 3 lb custom build. It’s a gem. Sounds like a vintage parlour already.

What a beautiful guitar! The sound is so rich and full. I love its balance! It’s appearance doesn’t hurt the eyes either.

OMG. I cannot believe how amazing these Boucher guitars sound. ❤

I love parlour guitars. If you play finger style, there's really no downside. Beautiful tone. Lower tension. Easier to play. Body less prone to warping. Easier to store and transport. Too many people play with a pick by default. There's a whole world of amazing guitar tone out of smaller bodied acoustics if you let go of the need to thrash the heck out of the strings with a triangle of plastic.

The sustain is exceptional! Another Gorgeous Boucher! It is Definitely a Masterpiece of art! Nice playing, good review!❤

The older we get the more we look for comfort styles. Im 65 yrs old and am shying away from the dreads. NOT that you're that old, but its just what happens.

Your Boucher is smaller than the 14 fret OO that I originally bought with the intention of flipping it. After playing it a while, the guitar wormed its way into my heart. I was always searching for deeper tones and resonance so getting a guitar that rings like an angels harp was a new experience. Now it ranks right up there with my more expensive acoustics. I love playing that little guitar with a partial capo at the 5th fret, or the 2nd fret, either side of the neck. In fact, I am going to go play it right now.

I played one of these last month and liked it more than my Martin 00-18. As soon as I save a bit more cash, I plan to sell the Martin and buy the Boucher.

I have always loved parlor guitars!

Larrivee offers several parlor models — with solid headstocks. I once owned a stunning P-10 with all the beautiful extras, including a Wendy Larrivee “jester” headstock inlay. I sold it for a painful reason: My basic fingerstyle abilities were not equal to that guitar. I was reminded of that every time I strummed it. It was the perfect guitar for someone else.

Boucher, Godin, and also guitars made in France are amongst the best I’ve ever owned.

I’ve owned a lovely HG-44-(X) for about 3 years now, bought sight unseen, couldn’t be happier, it’s my best acoustic for playing and recording by far! They’ve really jumped in price in the last year, worth every penny, though may be unobtainable for a lot of folks now. That being said, if I could find a used one or had the dough, I wouldn’t hesitate to have another!

They are made in Quebec, Canada

That guitar is about as good as a parlor can get. I have my parlor. It's a 7/8 classical, for the couch and writing songs at the kitchen table. Its not a super guitar, but i like it.
